Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Brunch, The Park, Sunday

Were you tired of socializing yet? Too bad, because the traditional Sunday brunch was happening in the park! And yes, with some of the... retro robot statues also in attendance.

The weather was good, the food and drink were plentiful, so come one and all for one last chance to meet up with people you hadn't seen for two decades.

(Or to just marvel at all the old people.)

Ulysses had his name tag as well as his pessimistic attitude from last night, and he looked like he probably hadn't slept well.

(He had not. Holy shit, he had not.)

But he also had a big plate of food, so at least some things were working out for him.

The whole concept of a reunion was a bit new to Libby, and she might have considered dropping in on the mixer last night, but she must have picked up a little bug somewhere and was feeling a bit under the weather most of yesterday. Maybe Vi's mopiness had been some sort of contagious, or something. Either way, she was definitely feeling better when she woke up that morning, which was excellent timing, because that meant she could make it out for that brunch at the park.

Where she was going to be at least a...little bit confused. Mark one for marveling (as politely as possible) at the old people, but at least she was going to be able to do so over breakfast.

Socializing had never been Dwight's strength, and 20 years had not done much to improve it. But he hadn't been back to Fandom in close to 15 years, and he wasn't sure when or if he ever made it back. So, he might as well make the most of the last day.

Octavia hadn't been to last night's festivities, so she was getting a name tag now. It just said Octavia, even though she'd hesitated for a second with slapping one of Duke's array of fake last names on there for fun.

She doubted she was going to run into anyone she knew, but hey. She definitely knew and fondly remembered the food at these things, so that was where she headed first.

There were, definitely, some things that never really changed, and one of those things was definitely Prompto Argentum glued to a phone. Granted, in his defense, he was texting half of his kids that were on the island, trying to rally them together while they were here to go do something together after the brunch (they were teenagers, he definitely wasn't expecting them to be cognizant or awake enough on a Sunday morning to actually attend the brunch). And he did say half accurately, he felt, since two of them responded, he figured the two that hadn't were still sleeping, and he could confidently put Vette as some kind of half-asleep by the very short, sometimes even just one letter responses he was getting from her.

He'd probably go join Liz and Ignis in a little bit, but, for right now, he was busy wondering when his kids had become such comedians, with Trevor quipping back something about how they couldn't get ice cream, it wasn't like this was an AU KIDS WEEKEND, DAD, and Nina being a brat (although, really, with that namesake, Prompto could only blame himself!) by saying she'll go get ice cream later but ONLY if it was VANILLA.

He swore, some people's kids, man....

After his conversation with Shane the previous night, Ignis hadn't slept well at all. Well, to be more accurate, Ignis had slept barely at all, which meant he was considering skipping out on the brunch, mostly wondering why he'd even bothered coming to this thing at all. Perhaps he should have stayed behind with Gladio. He did have an awful lot of work that was likely just piling up on his desk right now. But, he had come, and he was here, and he might as well try to make the best of it.

After all, he was rarely one to turn down food...

Billy had put a reminder on the old phone Jon had so he'd know where to go this morning. The park wasn't hard to find; he liked to go there a lot.

So he was here, eating and sitting on the grass and just enjoying the day.

Lana had missed last night's party due to a long holocall back home, but she was glad to be able to make it today.

Was she hoping a few people she missed might show up? Absolutely. Was she going to enjoy the food and weather regardless? Absolutely.

Lucifer didn't look much different than he had twenty years ago - bar the grey in his beard and hair, and the glasses perching on his nose.

He swanned in past the general name tag area, looking around for faces he might actually recognize.

Liz was taking the time to enjoy herself while at the reunion and she had on her name tag from the previous evening, looking around to see who was there.

All that scotch the night before had been a terrible idea and Goose was feeling rather hungover but that wasn’t stopping him from getting mimosas and having those with his plate of food.

Eating and drinking kept him from feeling too miserable about his conversation with Ignis.

Guillermo was a bit distracted and confused from his conversation with Graham but he was back out socialising the next day with the camera following his every move.

“One good thing about these events,” Guillermo was explaining from where he had his plate full of food, “is the food, I mean I do love cooking but the food here is still excellent, I have missed this,” he smiled as he started to eat.

You know what didn't lessen or subside with age and maturity? The need to keep a super high metabolism going. So Kurt was in line for food pretty quickly after arriving and getting a new name tag.

Soon he was heading towards the tables, looking for a place to sit, balancing a couple plates in his hands and carrying a drink with his tail. What? Some tricks never did get old!

Connor had arrived at the Park just as things were getting started so it wasn't too long before he was sitting down with a plate of food and a drink to do some people watching. And for a moment he went from wishing Abby and the twins were there to kind of being glad they weren't because chances are he'd end up spending the entire event running around after them to keep them from getting into trouble. This? This was a nice peaceful and quit change from the norm. And Connor? Connor was just going to enjoy it for a moment.

Graham was very eagerly piling up two plates of plenty of food (one for himself, one for those arms!). He might have felt a little bit bad about it if it weren't for the fact that he definitely remembered how these Fandom food events went, and, besides! He might be returning home to some newborn twins tomorrow! He was definitely going to need the energy! It all looked so good, too! And even though he'd gotten some of the chefs at the castle to recreate some of his favorite foods from this realm, sometimes, it just wasn't quite the same...

Amaya certainly hoped that some people would at least find comfort in the fact that, even after all these years, they could still rely on the fact that if there was a food event at Fandom, and she was there, you could trust her to be perusing the tables for only the finest and best meats on sticks!

Stark was not one to miss an opportunity for free food. He'd grabbed a new nametag, just in case, and then headed for the food to load up a plate with breakfast things and grab a mimosa. There was no reason not to.

He was scanning the park as he did so, hoping to see familiar faces (or somewhat less familiar, if 20 years had passed for some people).

Even though Sidon's (admittedly unlikely) hopes of spotting particular people at this decade's reunion had so far proven to be unsuccessful, he supposed he could at least have a bit more luck in being victorious in seeking out what among the food offerings were suitable for a Zora to properly enjoy!

(And, barring that, he could certainly always just go catch his own!)

Billy had shown up at the park and gotten a plate of food and a drink and then made his way to the edges of the park and the event to find a less crowded place to sit and eat. He also wanted to have a spot where he could see more of the gathering and watch for a bit while he ate. Billy may or may not have been looking for someone in particular.

Shunsui was definitely settling comfortably with a bit of food and a jug of sake underneath the by the duck pond where he'd always enjoyed having his poetry classes, feeling rather content to just sit and sip and watch the people go by, reveling in the carefree ease that had come with this little foray, and pondering how, when all of this was cleared out after the event, he'd make his way over to his favorite napping bench and do one of the very things he did best...

He really should see about coming back again. The Seireitei didn't need him there all the time! And, despite his title, he would certainly make the argument that the Seireitei didn't actually need him at all...
