Caritas, Monday

Well, Jane had been busy back home for a little bit there, but was raring to go at the bar again.

Much to Tino's obvious dismay.

"Why would I have quit?" Jane asked, frowning at where Tino was sullenly wiping down part of the bar top away from her. "And it was a vacation week in there too, you know."

Not that she'd gone, but. Still.

Ignoring him, she straightened the sign directing people to where the Purim party was in the back room instead.

Raiden hadn't brought the pizza hamantaschen with the intention of bringing them to the party, because he hadn't known there was a party (which was why his costume was 'Nephilim on his break from working at the pizza parlor'), but he figured it couldn't hurt to swing by the party for a few minutes before he got back to work, and hey, look at that, convenient contribution to the snack offerings!

Well, even if he did mostly just duck in to drop off an addition to the food table, the eagle-eyed hostess would at least see him there enough to throw up a hand in a wave and flounce (there was a lot of flouncing, in a dress like hers) over to say, "Raiden! Hi! Thanks for coming!"

"Hi, Summer! It looks like a great party! I mean, who doesn't love hamantaschen, am I right?"

He did not comment on her dress because sadly he didn't notice things like that, even though, buddy, it was quite notice-able.

No one could really blame Raiden, really, Summer was clearly going for subtle...

"I mean," she admitted, "I've never even heard of hamantaschen before this weekend, but they honestly are pretty great."

Personally, she was definitely here for all the wine, but she could get why that might not have nearly as much appeal for Raiden.

Wine had plenty of appeal for Raiden, it just wasn't gonna get him drunk. He should really start carrying around a flask of ambrosia or something, except then he'd have to exercise moderation with it and...well...he was kinda the opposite of that.

Also getting drunk and going back to work was probably a bad idea, but what did he know? He'd never had a real job before.

More importantly... "Never heard of hamantaschen? That's tragic! Look at them, they're so cute. And they come in flavors! I bet I could eat five dozen right now." Not hyperbole.

Because he was Stark and wired this way, Stark saw Raiden, briefly considered fleeing the party because he was terminally awkward, but ended up just giving him the most awkward nods of acknowledgement instead.

Raiden was decidedly not wired that way, and he gave Stark a big wave and exclaimed loudly, "Stark, hey! Happy Purim!"

Stark's face briefly resembled a deer in headlights (not that he actually knew what that looked like) before he waved back with a much quieter "hello, Raiden."
