Caritas; Wednesday [05/31].

Summer had been dealing with a little bit of a jello crisis earlier that day (do not> ask), so, by the time she was ready to come into her shift for the evening (crisis, thankfully, resolved, jello shots fine and lovely and undisturbed), she was just relieved to see that Tino was having a normal day and she didn't have to deal with any weird beverage experiments on his behalf or any silly string or other such weirdness.

That was, of course, her thoughts before going into the back room at some point and noticing that the entire area was completely filled with pool noodles.

When she returned to behind the bar, Tino was looking at her expectantly, eagerly, but she knew better to engage in something like that. She was firmly ignoring having seen anything, much to his disappointment, and he kept trying to think of reasons to send her by the back room again, as if maybe she'd just missed the dozens of pool noodles, and that's why she hadn't said anything.

Annie, whose body had swung back over to 'hungry' from 'nauseous' on her brief walk over to the bar -- spinning that wheel was a fun new game she played several times a day, now! -- was eating from a little bag of almonds as she carefully slid her way onto a barstool today.

"I have to assume you just, like, forgot to write the word gummy up there," she greeted Summer, twirling a finger at the specials.

She actually was assuming it was much more deliberate than having forgotten, because she knew Summer, but she was also offering some benefit of the doubt here.

And the all-too-pleased smile immediately on Summer's face at that commentary was a pretty good indication that Annie's assumption was correct.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know," she said innocently, "maybe. Do you want to try some and find out?"

Would she feed non-gummy worms to a pregnant person? They were probably jam-packed with nutrients...

"Do you always make virgin versions of the gross shots?" Annie wondered, just side-stepping around the question of whether she'd be trying it. "Just in case someone's feeling brave-slash-really pregnant?"

She would, at least, be ordering it. She was a grown-ass woman, thank you, and if it looked like those were real worms, she didn't have to eat them! She could throw away food and be...wasteful, and feel bad about it!

Prompto was happy to fill in as Summer's shenanigan spy again this week, what with her aforementioned but very mysterious jello crisis earlier, so there he was, popping in early in the evening to slide over her list of participants and doing his part in ensuring that those that were there were getting properly rewarded with their free jello concoctions.

"I think I gotta try some of those tonight, too," he decided, especially when he realized he was having trouble picking just one, though he was definitely leaning toward the pineapple.

"Thaaaaank you, Prompto!" Summer sang out as she finished sliding the list toward herself and picked it up for a cursory glance for familiar names that crossed over with her potential bar patrons. "And, yeah, of course, which ones do you want to try? The worms one, right? I'll let you have the worms one for free, for all the hard work you're doing for me with the shenanigans."

"Steven," Summer said, quirking a brow and almost tempted to ask if he needed glasses, if she should write them out bigger next time, but...there was a proper thing that she was not going to deviate from unless strictly necessary/too hilarious to pass up. "The usual?"

"Hello, Stark," Summer greeted, with a soft, almost apologetic smile. "I had to send Prompto again. I got a little caught up in kind of a jello thing."

Had she deliberately avoided answering his first question?

"How was it, though? Tic-tac-toe, Anakin Skywalker style, right?"

He grinned then, having waited hours for this next sentence. "I did get to watch Sidon ride a giant beaver."
