The Magpie Emporium; Friday [11/03].

Even though Graham had announced the Jelly Bean Party at the Maaaaaaagpie Empooooor~rium tonight, he knew not everyone had the chance to catch radio, so he was absolutely sending out a text to all his friends and pretty much anyone else that Fandom decided needed to know about as soon as he got to the store that morning after his broadcast (and after picking up breakfast, because he was really craving waffles after that!), and then he very, very quickly took care of all his usual tasks when he came in to get them out of the way so he could work on making a big sign to put up for all passersby to see:

JELLY BEAN PARTY!
Here! Friday! Tonight!
Bring your favorite jelly beans
and let's PARTY!

And, with that done, and without there being...much set-up involved in a jelly bean party, Graham then decided to show his new best friend, Squire Axe O'Lotl, around the store (Garret, it turned out, was going to be spending the day with Triumph in the stables--cavies gotta cavy!), which eventually lead into....well, an adventure.

And adventure that basically meant having Axe A'Lotl axing a lot of the shelves and boxes, with a great deal of enthusiasm and sound effects, in their great hunt to discover the mysterious famed Jellybean Tree, so that they may chop in down in time for the grand Jelly Bean Party!

Look. He had fun here, alright?

The Magpie Emporium is open!

Libby also felt she would certainly be in no position to cast any weirdo stones, really.

She had a sympathetic look for the loss of the Waffle House, but her smile brightened right back up over DnD.

"We did!" she gushed. "Right here, every Friday night, actually. I played an elven cleric named Esthrana who grew up on a dragon ranch. It was lot of fun, but Graham was out GM and he had to take a break to focus on his knight training...."

There was a small, thoughtful frown.

"I wonder if anyone would be interested in giving it another shot, though..."

It was kind of heartbreaking, thinking she might not get the chance to play again before she left for nursing school.

Determined to not linger on such a sad thought, her smile brightened on Arden again as she eagerly asked, "Do you play?"

Arden shook her head. "I mean, I never have," she said. "Not that I never would." You know, in case there was talk about a game starting back up and people thought somehow she wouldn't be interested. "But, ah, I was homeschooled growing up and didn't really have friends and I'm pretty sure DnD is on of those things you do with a group?"

"Oh! I was homeschooled, too!" said Libby, eagerly glomming onto that common ground. "The only friends I had for the longest time were just my siblings, and something like DnD would never have been allowed back home, my family--"

Libby looked like she'd only just now realized where her babbling was leading her and stopped, her demeanor instantly shifting, as she awkwardly ducked her head and tucked her hair behind her ears meekly.

"Um, is really religious. Um...but, yeah, the group aspect is pretty important, that's what makes it so fun, bouncing off of other people and their ideas and characters..."

She gave Arden an encouraging smile. "If anything ever sparks up again, you should definitely join us."

"If someone invites me, I absolutely will," Arden said, smiling back. "But yeah, I'm an only child, so for the most part it was just me and my legal guardian and she wasn't really one for games, so...catching up on all my socializing and friending here, you know? So stuff like DnD groups sounds like a great time to me."
