Even though Graham had announced the Jelly Bean Party at the Maaaaaaagpie Empooooor~rium tonight, he knew not everyone had the chance to catch radio, so he was absolutely sending out a text to all his friends and pretty much anyone else that Fandom decided needed to know about as soon as he got to the store that morning after his broadcast (and after picking up breakfast, because he was really craving waffles after that!), and then he very, very quickly took care of all his usual tasks when he came in to get them out of the way so he could work on making a big sign to put up for all passersby to see:

JELLY BEAN PARTY!
Here! Friday! Tonight!
Bring your favorite jelly beans
and let's PARTY!

And, with that done, and without there being...much set-up involved in a jelly bean party, Graham then decided to show his new best friend, Squire Axe O'Lotl, around the store (Garret, it turned out, was going to be spending the day with Triumph in the stables--cavies gotta cavy!), which eventually lead into....well, an adventure.

And adventure that basically meant having Axe A'Lotl axing a lot of the shelves and boxes, with a great deal of enthusiasm and sound effects, in their great hunt to discover the mysterious famed Jellybean Tree, so that they may chop in down in time for the grand Jelly Bean Party!

Look. He had fun here, alright?

After hours, the game lounge has been transformed into the ultimate jelly bean party!!!

Which basically meant that Graham pushed a bunch of tables together and set out a ton of bowls with different jelly bean flavors in them, and, while he was waiting to see if anyone actually showed up, he started to sort through them, trying to organize them by flavor. But when he realized that he couldn't tell what some of the flavors were by appearance alone, he then restratigized into organizing them by just color.

But come on up! Have some jelly beans! It's a jelly bean party, after all!

Vi had maaaybe gotten bad (not that she'd ever exactly been great) at socialising with non-Steph-shaped people. So here she was with a truly absurdly sized bag of jelly beans hefted over one shoulder.

"Vi!" Graham was, of course, thrilled to see both Vi and the impressively massive haul she was bringing in, and, you know what? He felt a small twinge of nostalgia for Game Nights when she did. That bag would have been perfect as a snack! But he shook his head and focused on the awesomeness of the now rather than the awesomeness of the past and gave her a bright, big smile. "Thanks for coming! Go ahead and put the beans on the table! I've been sorting some of them by color, but we don't have to do that with all of them, with a bag like that, that'll take all night!"

But he chuckled a little. "Which we can go all night, if we want to, though!"

Here was someone Arden hadn't met at all, but her "Hi," was forestalled by the truly gigantic size of the bag swung over her shoulder. "Whoa," she said. "You could probably take somebody out with that much candy."

In a second, she would hear herself saying that out loud and facepalm because way to nail that first impression, Arden.

A Jelly Bean party was definitely something new to Eleanor; it sounded simple enough...was it really just a party with jelly beans? She had to be missing some sort of cultural or social context here, but she figured she wasn't doing anything else, and she really did need to get out more, so...to the jelly bean party she went, taking a moment to pick up a modest bag to contribute and just looking somewhat amused but bewildered about the whole thing.

Arden saw you, Eleanor, and appreciated knowing that she wasn't the only person overthinking jelly bean parties, even if she didn't actually know she wasn't the only person overthinking jelly bean parties.

Either way, Eleanor was getting an upnod and an offered, "If you want, you can toss your bag here with mine, since I'm sorting anyway."

Belle had procured a bag of assorted jelly beans because she didn't have a favorite type. Not yet, anyway.

"Graham! I've never attended a jelly bean party before. I hope this bag is suitable?"

"Belle!" Of course she was getting the bright, excited smile that everyone else was getting, but if there was a little extra pink under his cheeks when he saw her, what of it?? "Hi! That bag looks great! And you know, I've never been to a jelly bean party before, either, so it'll be a new adventure for both of us! I do know one thing, though. We are going to have a loooot of jelly beans!"

So already, the party felt like a success!

Well, there were going to be a lot of jelly beans regardless, but now there were jelly beans and people, so he was feeling pretty good about this whole thing right about now.

Libby didn't know much about jelly bean parties, but she did know Graham, so she knew that whatever this was would be a lot of fun, and she was almost tempted to bring a veggie snack tray, just because it would be contrary and funny but also a much needed departure from all that sugar, but she was good and brought a small bag of jelly beans after all.

They were Halloween colored, because, well, those were the ones on sale.

Guillermo had felt bad that he hadn't been very good about socialising lately but he was and he had also bought jelly beans with him, he felt bad that he hadn't been able to work out how to make jelly bean empanadas in time for the party but he figured he could work them out later.

Arden had walked into the candy store, seen all the different varieties of jellybeans, blinked in shock a couple of times, and then grabbed a big bag of them and called it good.

"So this one comes with a flavor guide or whatever," she said as she entered the jelly space. "But I didn't look, in case that's part of the partying or something."

Someone was really uncertain about how jellybean parties worked.

Listen. Listen. When you set Gray loose in a candy store, the results were...well, they were sort of similar to what happened when you set Gluttony loose in a candy store. And when they both went to the candy store together...well. Let's just say that when Gray came through the door followed closely by Raiden, the number of jelly beans at this party increased dramatically.

Raiden had never been to a jelly bean party before, but he thought it was brilliant, and since he couldn't be said to have a favorite jelly bean, he'd just brought...a lot. A lot of jelly beans.

Not, it must be said, more than his sugar goblin brother, though.
