Caritas; Wednesday [12/06].

Blame it on the horses. Blame it on her class earlier that day. But Summer was spending an awful lot of time musing over how convenient a Tino-specific shrink ray might be, almost to the point where she was contemplating texting her ex to see if he might be able to hook her up with something like that.

It wasn't even as if he was doing anything particular terrible or annoying that evening, either. She was just...thinking it. But...really....could anyone blame her?

"Have we done Metallica recently?" Atton asked the zombies. They shot him a look. "Right, right, it really has been too long since I worked here. Okay."

A brief scrum later, and he was at the microphone. "Where do I take this pain of mine..."

Though doing Metallica on this stage again was a really annoying reminder that the singing lessons really were helping.

It had been a while since Cutter had visited Caritas but with everything that had happened the last few weeks and the looming house arrest, he really could go for a drink and try to be a bit social as well while he and Connor still could.

He was just glad that the huge bruise on his jaw had finally started to fade even if was still rather noticeable.

“Scotch a lot of it please,” Cutter said as he sank into his seat at the bar and then he looked at the specials, “and I’ll have the candy cane martini as well,”

Oh, and you know that bruise was getting such a look from Summer, but it also very much had the air of not being in the least bit surprised.

"Well," she said, "how about we start with the scotch, a little bit of it, and the shot, and see where to go from there."

She did get the shot and poured the drink, though, setting one and then the other down.

"So what happened this time?" she asked.

Yet another person Liliana didn't know! She really had played hermit a lot since she'd arrived, hadn't she? Her eyes lingered a moment over the large bruise on the man's face before flicking up to meet his and raising her glass in greeting.

"Well, hello there," she said. "I don't believe I've had the pleasure...?" Or if she had, she certainly didn't remember it. "Liliana Vess."

"Hey Summer it's been a while" Connor said, stating the obvious as he took a seat. "I'll have one of the cocktail specials and let's start on the jello shots with the first two." Was he making up for lost time and future missed time that would be coming up? Maybe.

Summer nodded a little, looking Connor over carefully after clocking Cutter's bruising, as she set down the shots and went to start on the cocktail.

"It haaaaas," she agreed. "You doing okay?"

Honestly, whenever she didn't see much of either of them around for a while, she just sort of figured that stupid luck of theirs had finally run out.

Did Liliana know the man? No. Was that going to stop her from leaning over and asking a perfect stranger, "Have you tried the gravy jello shot?" in a conspiratorial whisper.

Her conversation with Annie yesterday had reminded Liliana that she truly had been something of a homebody since coming to the island. Which was truer than not in general, but she did enjoy a bit of a nightlife. Even if Fandom was no Tenth District, there was still fun to be had.

And so, clad in The Sweater that she'd stolen retrieved over the weekend and a pair of jeans so dark a purple they looked almost black, Liliana sauntered into Caritas. "Hello darling," she said to Summer as she strolled up to the bar. "I was told Wednesdays at the bar were the place to be and figured I would stop by and see for myself."

"Liliana," said Summer, with a roving look over at the clearly modern update to her wardrobe that could only earn a nod of approval from her, before she shrugged, oh-so-modestly. "And you were told correctly, although, honestly, these days, it can kind of be a little hit and miss. But what can I get you? Obviously, if you're coming in by recommendation, you should probably try at least a few of the jello shots. I'm always an advocate for a full flight, though, really get that whole Wednesday Night at Caritas experience."

Ignis had an excellent excuse of just being able to claim he hadn't seen Liliana there still at the bar when he'd come in, despite the fact that he could barely walk into a room with her in it and not almost immediately be able to track where she was, even with The Sweater dulling her own distinct scent to mingle it with his own. And, to his credit, he did not immediately go to her, especially since he could hardly imagine she would immediately go to him, but there was only so long he could pretend to be effectively distracted by his glass of wine to join her where she was.

"I believe," he stated, "I can trust your recommendations for the special far more than I can the bartenders'."

Apparently demon murders were for another day?

"It's good to see you here."

Yes, there was a part of Stark that enjoyed quiet nights in Wednesdays because he got Summer to himself but he knew she appreciated a crowd of more than one alien.

"Ooh, I love red velvet," Nancy observed, having nearly tripped over a couple of little horses on her way in.

(And of course she did.)

She was so helpful!

She was, also, definitely grabbing a red velvet to set in front of Nancy, as well. "And it's going. How are you? Have the last six days of holiday cheer convinced you you've gone crazy yet, or have you been Fandomized enough to just accept it and run with it?"

This would be new person number three. Annie had had a point about Wednesday nights at Caritas being the place to be.

"Do you know," Liliana said in a conspiratorial tone of voice, "I only discovered what a red velvet confection was on Monday? Four days ago, I would have been wondering how Summer had managed to create a shot that outdid gravy in sheer inedibility."

Ultimately, when Ignis did decide that perhaps he would come and join Liliana at the bar that evening, he was not doing it merely to spend time with her, although he supposed he could hardly blame anyone for assuming so. After all, a good deal of their time, these days, had been spent together. But when she announced her intentions for a night out on the town, as it were, he gave her his blessings with a kiss, told her to enjoy herself, and set to the task of getting this or that or the other thing done, as he would usually do with a nice quiet night to himself. After all, those were such a rare occurrence these days...

But he'd also found that there was very little for him too do; Liliana's steward took care of most things around the mansion, and he supposed he could do some planning work for the contractors, but that had far more appeal as a collaboration with the person in charge. And with Gladio spending so much time now over at Nell's, even the apartment was in excellent shape. He considered perhaps ducking into the other bar, for old times sake, but, really, how long had it been since he'd had a chance to really chat with Summer and see what monstrous jello creations she was trying to ply onto people these days? And so he, too, eventually came in, a bit later in the evening, to find out, and the fact that Liliana would also be there (presumably; he supposed she could have flitted off to some other entertainment by then, anyway) was just an additional bonus.

Hey, you know what was cool about Ignis showing up? He couldn't even see the way Summer's eyes immediately drifted over to where Liliana was when he came in or the smirk on her face.

Well, maybe he could still sense it, especially in the way she said, "Heeeeyyyyyyy, Ignis! How's it going? You know, the wine bottles around here have been really lonely these days, so I'm glad you're here!"
