So, this was Summer's first pollen week while single in three years, so she was thinking thigns could get a little interesting at her Caritas shift that evening.

Good interesting? Bad interesting?

(Even worse. not interesting at all??)

She had no idea, so she was trying not to think about it, or build up any expectations, to keep herself simultaneously prepared for everything and for nothing at all. Which left a pretty big, obnoxious knot in her stomach.

Although that could also just be from working in all-too-close proximity of Tino and the realization that, especially without the 'I have a boyfriend!' shield, that could theoretically happen tonight.

Yeah, okay, she was definitely going to just focus on making drinks and slinging jello and insisting this was an absolutely normal Wednesday night, until something started to look decidedly more advantageous for her.

Well, maybe with a little help from the specials tonight. What? She was nothing if not an opportunist.

"It's not that different for me," Raiden admitted with a shrug. "I'm always hungry for something. Summer grinned a little at that and set down Raiden's first cocktail. "I think I may have seen some in the back somewhere," she offered. "Let me go check."

And hey! Look at that! A trip to the back office without someone trailing behind her tonight! Honestly, she wasn't sure if she actually had seen any back there, she wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention on all of her other trips, she just kind of wanted to do it because she could and prove....something? She didn't know what, the novelty of it? But she did, unfortunately, come back empty handed.

"Sorry," she said, "I must have been mistaken, but I can totally bug Apu to come bring some from the store if you want?"

"No worries," Raiden assured her. "I'll survive without them." But at what cost, Gluttony wanted to know, and Raiden shut it up by downing his cocktail.

Cocktail was an unfortunate word to use this week, if you thought about it...

"Just keep the booze comin'."

"Will do," Summer vowed, notching a little salute to let Raiden know she had his back in that regard, and, in fact, got started on that second cocktail straight away.

"Well," she amended, "as much as I can. Tino's had to cover my ass a lot, but he's doing great today. Between the two of us, we'll keep it flowing."

Tino had had to cover her ass, huh? "Yeah, I've been having issues with my staff, too." Also with his personnel. "A lot of people are calling for delivery, and then, well. I'm thinking about hiring asexual delivery people."

"Well, I mean," Summer pointed out, "it's usually just for the week, everyone'll be back to being better employees by Monday, probably, right?"

"Oh, I'm not gonna fire the horny ones," he assured her. "Just like, maybe some extra hands so the pizzas get delivered. You need food for all of that fucking, y'know?" A pause. "Also, hydrate." Hydration was so important, Summer.
