So, this was Summer's first pollen week while single in three years, so she was thinking thigns could get a little interesting at her Caritas shift that evening.

Although that could also just be from working in all-too-close proximity of Tino and the realization that, especially without the 'I have a boyfriend!' shield, that could theoretically happen tonight.

Yeah, okay, she was definitely going to just focus on making drinks and slinging jello and insisting this was an absolutely normal Wednesday night, until something started to look decidedly more advantageous for her.

Well, maybe with a little help from the specials tonight. What? She was nothing if not an opportunist.

Sabine toasted her with her drink, taking a sip. "How are you doing with it?"

"It's..different, than being in high school," she admitted, making a face. "I...was not in the headspace back then, and mostly just screamed internally."

"Would you be shocked if I said I had a preference for girls who aren't afraid of a little weird?" Yana teased.

Within reason. She wasn't Navaan about things.

"Not entirely human-weird?" she clarified, and the next time Sabine blinked, Yana had horns, yellow eyes, and moderately-sized red horns sticking out of her hair. "It's a turn-off for some people."

Sabine blinked a little, but that was mostly at how fast it had happened. "I come from a place with plenty of non-humans," she says. "Not an issue."

A look of immense relief flashed across Illyana's face. "That sounds nice," she said wistfully. "My world is very human-centric."

It was a problem.

Then as quick as that vulnerability came, it was gone, and Illyana leaned on the bar, grinning at Sabine. "So. Does that mean I can buy you some more drinks, until we make some more bad decisions?"

"I am very in for both of those things," Sabine agreed. "Especially that last part."
