"Look, Tino! Aren't they amazing?"

Summer was generally very proud of her jello shots overall, but tonight was a rare occasion indeed and she needed to really show off her brilliance at work here! After all, her 'gross' shot for the evening was usually something cribbed from some awful recipe she'd found on the internet, but this one was truly an inspired homebrew that, in a way, brought together various aspects of the community.

"I had someone," Ignis, much like Dean, had made it clear that he did not want his name attached to being involved in this project at all, despite the fact that radio had called them both out, but she was going to respect what she could and leave the rest to be blamed on the squirrels and the squirrels alone, "make me a frog gelatin base! And look, he made little crispy fried frog pieces to garnish it with! You should try one! It tastes like chicken! But boozy!"

Because that was exactly what you wanted in a jello shot, right?

Whatever. She was proud of herself, and was really looking forward to seeing what everyone else thought, too.

Well, who was Liliana to skip out on getting a discount? In fact, she was pretty sure that Ignis would be appalled if she passed it up.

With a long-suffering sigh, she deigned to speak to these very inferior zombies, and then took up the mic to begin to sing a cover of a very well-known song, one that fit her style much better than the original. Slow, sensual, hips swinging, she was heavily into the vibe.

Where someone is way too proud of herself for what she's done to some poor innocent frogs, although, really, if you're going to blame anyone, blame Apu for bringing the frogs into the store in the first place....

Wednesdays were going to be weird for a while. Atton hadn't made his mind up yet if he wanted to even chance ever showing his face on Fandom again, but he had made his mind up about which friends he wanted to keep.

And so, with the clarity that came from a full week without a sense of dread weighing on his shoulders, he waited until it was about Summer's shift time in Fandom, and took out his new phone as he sagged on the sofa.

Summer had given Ignis the same deal she'd given Dean, that she wouldn't talk about his involvement in her inspired jello shot of the evening if he showed up at the bar that Wednesday. And while Ignis had no issue of being related to something made with frog--gigantoad, after all, had been one of his favorite meats to hunt for and cook with back home--he did have an issue with being related to something made by Summer. At least in any capacity where she was controlling the narrative.

And so it was him making a rare appearance at Caritas that evening, thinking he probably should get out more, anyway, and, besides, he actually was incredibly curious about how this jello shot managed to turn out.

"Awwww, Ignis!" Summer gushed when she saw that eternally sour-puss face sidled up to the bar. "You made it!"

Sure, sure, she'd sort of blackmailed him into it, but that was beside the point!

"What can I get you? Do you want me to find the fanciest sounding wine we have and then tell me how bad it actually is?"

She missed you in the bar, Ignis!!

When Dean came into the bar he just sort of stood there and stared at the specials board.

Look, it was one thing to talk about an idea. It was another to actually go through with it.

Dean opened his mouth to say something but then realized that over the course of his life he had also made many many strange and bizarre choices that culminated into either a bad situation or an apocalypse. So instead of bringing up Summer's mindset and state of mind? He just said:

"Whiskey, please."

Look, Dean, Summer was (usually) (sometimes) (more often than not) a woman of her word. When she said she would do something, she would (probably!) do it, okay?

And she was just smiling beatifically at Dean as he came in and she basked in that look on his face for a moment before sighing happily, and reaching for something not quite bottom shelf, but the next one up and pouring him one very heavily.

"Hi, Dean," she said. "How's it going? Just the whiskey tonight, huh?"

"Do you think this is a cry for help?"

"That's what I was afraid of," Stark said with a sigh as he looked at the specials board. "Frogs."

He shook his head, slid onto his usual stool, and offered his usual smile. "Hello, Summer."

"Hello, Stark," said Summer, who had been looking forward to that sigh and she smiled back. "And, yes, frogs. Would you like to try one? It's actually not that bad. It's like....slippery boozy chicken."

...maybe she needed to work on the marketing a little.

You know who wasn't a coward when it came to food? That's right, Raiden. "Summer!" he greeted her with his usual boisterous enthusiasm, and after scanning the specials board he didn't even care about the frog's legs, peasants, so much as, "There's not an actual unicorn in there, is there?" And he sounded more hopeful than anything, because Raiden.

"Sadly, no," said Summer, with a faint smile, "Although that really makes me wish I'd thought to check into a supplier that does make uncorn-hoof-specific gelatin because that would have been bad-ass. It's mostly raspberry and bubble gum dressed up to look like a unicorn."

She plucked one up to show him.

"See?"

"It's actually not that bad?" Summer offered, a little optimistically. "Like, it's kind of just like a slippery jellied boozy chicken."

The fact that she'd even tried it when she usually wouldn't go anywhere near the last shots spoke volumes, Liliana!

"But you should definitely try it if only because...well, I can't tell you who," and now Summer widened her eyes and cocked her head repeatedly and pointedly down the bar at the one person there who wouldn't be able to even see her doing it, "but I had some help making this come to fruition."

In a way, it was just as much his fault recipeh as hers!
