Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

[ooc: Wait for the OCD threads or suffer my wrath. Done! But please wait for the music threads to go up before dancing. Prom II will be going up in about two hours. Later.]

Ivanova blinked. "I think it is. I thought he got sucked into Locker 236 or something."

Pip stared up at the stage as he put his hands in the appropriate places. Not the dirty ones. The clean ones. ... Maybe the dirty ones later. "I know that Smith just sorta vanished into nothingness. I heard that Finn just out and out got replaced."

"Got out?" Ivanova smirked, slightly put out that she didn't merit some slightly risque hand positions. This dress was far too nice. "You make it sound like he managed to escape."

Yay, dancing.

"Well, considering what I hear about the turnover rate for Principles around here, he might have."

Oh look. Hand is sliding down. Veeery slowly. Almost imperceptibly. It's a ninja hand, it is.

In fact, it's more than that. It's a ninja hand trained in butler-fu. If such a thing could be that sneaky.

Hands! Hands in new places.

Oh well, what can a girl do? Looks like she'd just have to grin and bear it. But she sort of lost track of their conversation for a moment as her hand curved around the back of Pip's neck.

"Fandom: come for the salary, stay because you have no other choice?"

The butler-fu trained ninja hand has met no resistance so far, so it increases speed somewhat, going for the full grope.

It ponders, in it's little hand-way, the possibillity of a pinch.

"Fandom: Come for the salary, try to leave and we'll set the Mountie on you?"

Hand? What hand? She noticed no hand. If one were to propose the idea of a hand she would merely scoff innocently.

Ivanova snickered. "I think you should work for the town publicity department. Lovely turn of phrase you have there."

We have pinchage and gropeage. Repeat, Houston, we have an arse grab.

"From what I understand of the way people feel about the Mountie, it'd make a bunch of girls try to leave."

Ivanova jumped. She couldn't help it. She just happened to jump a little bit more into Pip and offered him a brief narrow-eyed glare meant to at least pretend that she wasn't that kind of girl.

Not that she was. Or something.

"I can understand the whole thing about a man in a uniform, but silly hats? Usually a pretty big turn-off."

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Pip is not that easily fooled by such brief narrow-eyed glares. Inside his brain, he is doing a little French victory dance. It is possible that, in his mind, he is doing the Electic Slide in victory.

"So, does my hat count as "silly"?"

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
"No, I believe your hat would be 'unique'," Ivanova replied with a smirk. "Besides, you aren't wearing it right now, are you? Ergo, no silly hat turn-offs. Even if it were, in fact, silly."

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Pip laughed. "Well, that's good to hear. That hat was my father's and I'd be most hurt if you called it silly. Still, it's a moot point. 'cause it's not silly."

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Definitely not," Ivanova replied gravely, but her eyes were laughing at him as the corner of her mouth barely twitched upwards.

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
The eyebrow over Pip's good eye raised. Quick as lightning, his hand snaked back down to her arse and pinched it again.

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Ack!" Ivanova jumped again and whapped him lightly on the back of the head, trying to look as severe as some one who had just been pinched could. "No more of that. You have to earn it."

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Pip laughed. "Alright, alright. Fair enough. I'll earn it. Just don't make fun of the hat.

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
"When did I make fun of the hat? I did no such thing!" Ivanova looked offended at the insinuation. "I did nothing but defend its nonsilliness."

And right now she was kind of missing the hand. Just not the pinching because ow.

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh look. Hand is slowly sneaking back, seeing how far it can go again.

It's got a mind of its own, that hand. Hopefully it doesn't turn evil and we have to hack it off with a chainsaw.

Because there's an ex-teacher who would not appreciate that, apparently.

Pip eyed her. "Just making sure. I thought I saw the hint of a smile while we were discussing it."

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Couldn't I have been smiling because I was enjoying myself?" she asked innocently. "I'm wearing a pretty dress, had a nice dinner, I'm dancing, and I finally have a date tall enough that I can wear heels and still have to look up."

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] cyclopeanmerc.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
Pip laughed. "Fair enough, fair enough. And you do look amazing in that dress, in case I didn't mention it. When was the last time you had a date that you could wear the heels for?"

Re: Song #1: "Surrender"

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
"You didn't and thank you." She paused for a long moment as she thought. ". . . I think I could get away with heels when I was eigth grade," she decided finally. "Well, anything taller than an inch, at least." She paused for another moment before adding, "You don't look so bad yourself, you know."
