Around Town [Saturday Night]

If you look out your window and spot creatures you've only seen in movies and textbooks, you might think you're dreaming.

You're not.

The dinosaurs are still in town and they are PISSED.

Knowing it had her pinned, the dinosaur moved in for the kill.

Mikey did not much care for sick snapping sounds, or for watching his friends get beat up on by angry reptiles. Not that he had anything against angry reptiles- his brother was one, after all- but being eaten was not on his list of awesome ways to spend a Saturday night.

So he did the sensible thing and he put himself between Will and the teeth, his shell toward the teeth and his head mostly ducked into it.

"Get through that, bogus biting dino dude!"

The dinosaur's mouth hit the shell and it was the dinosaur equivalent of running mouth-first into a concrete wall. Needless to say, there were chipped teeth and a lot of pain for the velociraptor. It screeched and reeled back, trying to paw at its own mouth and deal with the sudden feeling in its mouth.

Part of fighting the good fight was knowing when to stand your ground, and when to turn tail and run. And since there seemed to be nothing that Will could do to the dinosaur -- and her wrist was really hurting -- now seemed like a good time to feel.

She willed the Heart back into her palm. "I think we should get out of here," she said to Mikey, ashamed at not being able to do much against the invaders.

Mikey couldn't agree more and decided that now was as good a time as any to grab Will and run for their lives. He was a fan, after all, of not dying, and he was a ninja on top of all that.

Dramatic exits were totally his thing.

"Outta here," he agreed, taking advantage of the fact that the dino was good and distracted by a mouthful of messy teeth bits to grab Will and run like a big running green thing off toward the clinic.
