Caritas [Saturday evening] Three Minute Dates!

Robin still kind of had no idea how she'd wound up doing this, but it was funny and she could laugh and drink and just enjoy her post-Valentine's glow behind the bar while everyone else suffered.

And in the meanwhile, she set out a pretty little sign.

Three Minute Dates @ Caritas
Hosted by Robin Scherbatsky
Presented by loneliness and desperation*
* beer goggles recommended/necessary in some cases

That done, she wandered by to the stage to take the mic. "So, hi. You know how sometimes you're at a bar, and you just don't know how to talk to those pretty people you're eyeing? Or, you know, you want to know what the deal is with that creepy guy in the corner who won't stop staring? Well, tonight, we're taking all that guesswork out of it! Welcome to Three Minute Dates! I'm your hostess and deeply amused bartender, Robin Scherbatsky."

"So here's how it goes -- when I call your name plus someone else's, it'll be time for you to find that other person and either lemon law them or find your way to true love...slash a good one night stand! Or a bad one. It's part of the fun! And then lather, rinse and repeat for four more times, because yes, boys and girls, you're doing this five times."

[OOC: Three minutes equals ten comments for our purposes. That's five comments per person. Try your very best to get it wrapped up in that time. You do NOT have to do these in chronological order. Do them as people are available. Just try not to Joss yourself.

Remember, if you're violent, you'll be teleported out of the club and will have to make your way back. If you can't get through all of your dates today, you can sp, don't worry!

Mary was giggling at this point. "So far, so good. How about you, Sean?"

"Well, I haven't run screaming out of the building yet, so it could be worse," Sean said optimistically as he approached Mary and took a seat.

She chuckled. "Well, I might as well start out by warning you not to get your hopes up. I'm just about officially off the market these days," she said, showing him the new ring on her left hand.

Granted, it was the temporary cheap ring that George Michael gave her until he could get the real one, but it was a ring, and it was on the ring finger of her left hand.

"Oh, honey, even if my hopes were to be gotten up, you're totally the wrong gender for it," he said with a grin. "And wow, congratulations!"

"Thanks! And um, wrong gender?" she asked, wondering how the heck she missed that.

"Yup," he said cheerfully. "And the family... well, either they don't know about it yet or they're pretending it's a phase I'll grow out of." He snorted. "Yeah, don't think that one's happening anytime soon. Thankfully my sister doesn't have the same mindset or I'd go batty."

"Yeah, I know how family can be. I wasn't on speaking terms with my dad since about age 15. It turned out that he remarried and I have two little sisters that I just found out about." said Mary.

"I do feel pretty foolish, though, because a while back there was a discussion among some of the women in town about the lack of eligible men in Fandom, and I may have pointed some of them your way."
