Robin still kind of had no idea how she'd wound up doing this, but it was funny and she could laugh and drink and just enjoy her post-Valentine's glow behind the bar while everyone else suffered.

That done, she wandered by to the stage to take the mic. "So, hi. You know how sometimes you're at a bar, and you just don't know how to talk to those pretty people you're eyeing? Or, you know, you want to know what the deal is with that creepy guy in the corner who won't stop staring? Well, tonight, we're taking all that guesswork out of it! Welcome to Three Minute Dates! I'm your hostess and deeply amused bartender, Robin Scherbatsky."

"So here's how it goes -- when I call your name plus someone else's, it'll be time for you to find that other person and either lemon law them or find your way to true love...slash a good one night stand! Or a bad one. It's part of the fun! And then lather, rinse and repeat for four more times, because yes, boys and girls, you're doing this five times."

Faith stubbed her cigarette and leaned back in her chair, wondering what was up with all these people that didn't have last names. Kinda strange. Fandom: weird place.

Gabriel sat down in front of the girl. "Smoking will kill you quicker." He smiled at her as if this wasn't a bad thing at all.

She lifted a shoulder. "Not really a long-timer kinda girl," she said. "You worried about my health or you don't like the stink of smoke?"

"Just prefer people do die sooner rather than later," Gabriel replied, staring at his glass of whiskey. What was all this about anyway?

"Real people person, aren't you," she said, raising an eyebrow. "You always this chipper on dates?"

"Dates? The ones you eat?" Gabriel tried to hide his confusion.

"Really don't think anyone's getting eaten tonight, sunshine," she said dryly.

Gabriel didn't get that at all. "I'm not in the habit of eating people. That's just gross. Ripping them apart is usually enough."

"Good, you're a psycho," Faith said, rolling her eyes. "I'm a vampire slayer. Welcome to the freak parade, also known as Fandom. You plannin' on ripping anyone apart tonight?"

"Of course not," Gabriel snapped. "Waste of time. So you slay vampires? There's someone hanging out in the graveyard doing that sometimes."

"Mel," she said, smiling a little. "Friend, kinda. We got the same gig. You know her?"

She oughta patrol more. Maybe they could do a joint thing.

"No. I live in the church. We met once." Gabriel finished his whiskey.

"Didn't picture you as the priest type," she said, frowning a little, and then she looked up. "Think that's our cue. Good talk."

"Didn't say I was a priest." Gabriel gave her a nod. "Bye." He looked oddly amused.
