That done, she wandered by to the stage to take the mic. "So, hi. You know how sometimes you're at a bar, and you just don't know how to talk to those pretty people you're eyeing? Or, you know, you want to know what the deal is with that creepy guy in the corner who won't stop staring? Well, tonight, we're taking all that guesswork out of it! Welcome to Three Minute Dates! I'm your hostess and deeply amused bartender, Robin Scherbatsky."

"So here's how it goes -- when I call your name plus someone else's, it'll be time for you to find that other person and either lemon law them or find your way to true love...slash a good one night stand! Or a bad one. It's part of the fun! And then lather, rinse and repeat for four more times, because yes, boys and girls, you're doing this five times."

"We could do shots," he offered in all his mulletness. "I have no idea how this is supposed to work," he admitted.

"It usually only involves shots afterward," Brooke said. "We're supposed to get to know each other and after three minutes decide eh, and go our separate ways on to other people."

"So we've already decided that we're 'eh'? Or that the other is 'eh'?" He shrugged. He was thinking that she was thinking he was 'eh'. It happened.

"I won't say not to shots, even if we're both 'eh'."

No, Jack was not Canadian.

"That's the rule about this kind of thing. Everyone you end up paired with is probably going to be 'eh.'"

"I'm just hoping I won't be paired with a real dog at the end of the night," he admitted. "Not that there are any here, but...never know. So, Brooke, tell me about yourself." He sipped his drink.

That was charming, coming from a guy with a mullet. "From North Carolina, I like cheerleading and fashion, and we are about out of time."

"From San Fransisco, going to be an independent businessman when I get my papers, and I am very happy to have met you and spent time with you."

He gave her a grin that all but screamed "Shots later?"
