Robin still kind of had no idea how she'd wound up doing this, but it was funny and she could laugh and drink and just enjoy her post-Valentine's glow behind the bar while everyone else suffered.

And in the meanwhile, she set out a pretty little sign.

That done, she wandered by to the stage to take the mic. "So, hi. You know how sometimes you're at a bar, and you just don't know how to talk to those pretty people you're eyeing? Or, you know, you want to know what the deal is with that creepy guy in the corner who won't stop staring? Well, tonight, we're taking all that guesswork out of it! Welcome to Three Minute Dates! I'm your hostess and deeply amused bartender, Robin Scherbatsky."

"So here's how it goes -- when I call your name plus someone else's, it'll be time for you to find that other person and either lemon law them or find your way to true love...slash a good one night stand! Or a bad one. It's part of the fun! And then lather, rinse and repeat for four more times, because yes, boys and girls, you're doing this five times."

"Aw, don't tell me that. There's always something more. What kind of ice cream do you like? I'm not only talking about flavors here, I mean do you lick it? Bite it? Get it in a bowl and mush it all up before you eat it? Or how about something else. Are you a rule breaker or follower? Action movies, romantic comedies or action comedies with romance and aliens?"

Brooke smiled, a little impressed. "Chocolate chip cookie dough, straight out of the container. I'm somewhere in between rule-breaking and following, which is usually to do with whether if it's a stupid rule that's stopping me from doing something. And I like romantic comedies unless it's a really bad day, and then slasher flicks are great," she said. "Your brain obviously works faster than mine."

"I have a microchip installed. It helps with that." He might have been making that up. The bell or whatever it was that signalled the end of the date was about to sound. "I think we're nearly out of time, but I'm on the third floor if you find yourself bored. I could probably even rustle up some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream."
