The York Gallery; Wednesday [ 09/17 ] -- Exhibit Opening! 8pm onward.

The past few weeks of work were finally coming to a head, and Charlotte was both nervous and excited and getting herself worked up into a frenzy with making sure everything was perfect. She couldn't help feeling an overwhelming sense of satisfaction with the exhibit, though. The turnout wasn't huge, but nicely manageable and thankfully not small by any measure. Some of the work was a bit amateurish, but she had to admit to being pretty blown away by a few of the others.

By the time eight o'clock rolled around and the doors were open, the gallery was set up in a display of the pieces by artist, and the usual spread of treats and drinks were available in another area of the room. Charlotte, dressed in a vibrant red, milled around the gallery to make sure everything was in order and all the guests were enjoying the exhibit. She was also keeping an eye out for the artists of certain pieces, since she was very eager to potentially meet them.

The Community Showcase Exhibit was open!

[[ or will be, once I get the very extensive OCD up! It's up! Enjoy! ]]

Kevin came in as soon as his class was over. The class lecture had put him in a funk, but he didn't want Miss York to have to do everything on her own.

"Hey," he said with a little wave.

Ichigo arrived a bit after 20:00. After receiving a voicemail (http://first-guardian.livejournal.com/783.html?thread=78351#t78351) from Angela he could not be there. The first thing that did get his attention was the food however. You couldn't appreciate art on an empty stomach.

Claire got a glass of wine and hovered near the wall, trying not to look too self-conscious. She was curious to see what the other artists had produced.

Claire wasn't hovering near her pieces. Really. She was ... giving them a final critical inspection.

Which looked a lot like hovering.

"Yes, ma'am," he replied as he looked around. "What can I do?"

Katchoo had gone back to her room after work long enough to change into her least ragged jeans, a shirt that actually had buttons, and her leather jacket before heading down to the gallery, where she was not so much hovering near her sketch as vaguely within sight of it, pretending not to be interested.

With some of her work on display, of course Angela was there.

This was her first exhibit opening, and she was pretty excited by the prospect. She had a glass of something fruity in her hand, and was happily milling around.
