The Park, Friday evening

Jaina was having the start of a very bad night. Not that she knew it right now.

No, she was just walking out into the powdered sugar, standing at the perfect place to gaze out upon the pond behind her at that camera angle, gazing out to where the sunset would have been if it hadn't already happened. Though it should be noted that the moonlight still illuminated her features perfectly.

"Neeeeeeeeeeeeeear, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, whereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeer you aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare..."

[OPEN. I've had a bad day month which has culminated in a dinner of Oreo cookies dipped in boozed up egg nog. If you don't get sang at, I will have to send other girls. And if I still need happy, who knows, maybe Buffy will end up as Whitney Houston. YOU DON'T KNOW.]

And now he recognized this one from that movie where it was all he could do not to root for the iceberg. John really had no idea what he was supposed to do for this sort of non-threatening gremlin bite.

He was, however, pretty sure Jaina was going to be willing to revisit that knocking people unconscious idea of his again.

John winced, that looked painful. Not that it would stop him from egging her on.

"Bravo!" He shouted, giving a high pitched whistle of encouragement. "Encore, encore!"

The violin really made the song.

It occurred to John that if she sang this powerfully all evening, she was likely to have no voice the next day. He'd need tea and pudding cups when he eventually braved a visit.

Also, he was going to have to learn this song to make even more fun.

After much applause and many cat calls, John really didn't think it could get any better than that.

"Is there anyplace I can escort you?" He had to offer. "Like home, or a TV station somewhere?"

"Oh?" John hadn't seen any people. "And did your people schedule this impromptu show here in Fandom Town?"

"You have an extremely old husband?" John questioned with a grin. "Make my year and tell me you brought him along."
