Jaina was having the start of a very bad night. Not that she knew it right now.

No, she was just walking out into the powdered sugar, standing at the perfect place to gaze out upon the pond behind her at that camera angle, gazing out to where the sunset would have been if it hadn't already happened. Though it should be noted that the moonlight still illuminated her features perfectly.

"Neeeeeeeeeeeeeear, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, whereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeer you aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare..."


[OPEN. I've had a bad day month which has culminated in a dinner of Oreo cookies dipped in boozed up egg nog. If you don't get sang at, I will have to send other girls. And if I still need happy, who knows, maybe Buffy will end up as Whitney Houston. YOU DON'T KNOW.]

John grinned even more broadly when he spotted Ben.

"Enjoying the show?"

"Gremlin bite or psychological break?" Ben asked.

"Oh absolutely a gremlin bite," John decided. "A psychological break would likely involve her lightsaber."

"And probably less chest pounding," Ben decided. "Recognize the songs at all? They're not from home."

"Oh yeah," John rolled his eyes. "One I recall singing when we all went insane a while back. Others I unfortunately have heard during really awful movies. Jaina's going to love this."

"In the special kind of love where she's gonna want to mindwipe all of us for seeing this?" Ben guessed.

"Exactly that kind," John nodded, really thinking this over. "Aaaaand you might do me a favor and check my mind for damage later this weekend."

Ben nodded, taking the request totally seriously. "Sure."

"Not that I think she would," he added. "I just know I'd be tempted if I was capable."

"I've seen it used for less reason," Ben replied.

"Less like what? Papercut?" John asked.

"Bar tabs," Ben said, lips quirking up slightly. "Masters are very cheap."

Big liar.

"Just the masters, huh?" John grinned. "Lemme guess, you're pretty good at that trick, yourself?"

"Don't be silly," Ben said, fighting back a smile. "I don't go to bars."

"Right, because Skywalkers don't drink," John nodded.

"Because they don't serve fourteen year olds," Ben said.

"...I never thought about it from that direction," Ben said, blushing hard.

John chuckled, "It's easy to forget how old you are, buddy. Maybe it's just your universe."

"Yeah, I can go out with a folding stock rifle and, you know, go to work," Ben said, "but forget getting a lum ale afterwards unless someone else buys it for me."
