The Park, Sunday Afternoon, The Grand Tea

Mina Harker wasn't particularly fond of children. However, given the alternatives, it seemed a great idea to put them through a bit of culture. Her equal partner in all of this was, of course, the most proper lady she knew of in town: Miss Elizabeth Bennet.

Together, they organized the tables (with extra tiny chairs not just for the children, but if any of the young ones had brought along Mr. Bear to enjoy the event), the tea (of all sorts), and the assorted other bits (scones, crumpets, jam, little cucumber sandwiches and the like).

They also had some rather cheap (they were messy child types, so it made sense not to make them too extravagant) gloves for the little girls, so that they could enjoy the tea properly.

If anyone acted up too much, well, there was Mina Harker on the premises.

[ooc: Up early for Slowplay and wacky justice. Ms. Bennet's involvement with player permission. Hold up for OCD. Open for your tea needs!]

Miss Elizabeth Bennet couldn't help laughing. This was easily the least proper tea party she'd ever taken part in, but the children were utterly adorable.

Momoko walked up behind one of the grown ups in charge and tapped her lightly with her wand. "'scuse me?"

"Yes, my dear?" Eliza said, kneeling down to be on eye-level with the child. "Might I help you?"

"Yay!" Momoko clapped her hands and jumped happily. "Thank you! Thank you for the gloveses and the tea and the cookies but I didn't get any mints! Are they all gone cause I like mints!"

"Have we overlooked the mints?" Eliza said, glancing around with a light frown. "You'll have to accept our apologies, then. One hopes there are mints elsewhere."

Miss Bennet laughed, and reached to rumple the girl's hair. "I misspoke, my dear," she said easily. "I should hope you can forgive me. There are no mints, I'm afraid. It would make the gloves a bit difficult to pull on over one's fingers."

Momoko closed her eyes during the hair ruffle and smiled her bestest smile. "That's okay cause we can keeps them and gloveses makes a tea party reals and mints is good but cookies is betterer! Can I takes a cookie home to Mr Bear cause he's back in my room? I gots pockets!"
