The Park, Sunday Afternoon, The Grand Tea

Mina Harker wasn't particularly fond of children. However, given the alternatives, it seemed a great idea to put them through a bit of culture. Her equal partner in all of this was, of course, the most proper lady she knew of in town: Miss Elizabeth Bennet.

Together, they organized the tables (with extra tiny chairs not just for the children, but if any of the young ones had brought along Mr. Bear to enjoy the event), the tea (of all sorts), and the assorted other bits (scones, crumpets, jam, little cucumber sandwiches and the like).

They also had some rather cheap (they were messy child types, so it made sense not to make them too extravagant) gloves for the little girls, so that they could enjoy the tea properly.

If anyone acted up too much, well, there was Mina Harker on the premises.

[ooc: Up early for Slowplay and wacky justice. Ms. Bennet's involvement with player permission. Hold up for OCD. Open for your tea needs!]

Amber rocked her body side to side, staring at that blankie. "Can I's hold it for minute?"

Hoshi looked a little suspicious, but after giving it some thought, she cautiously handed the blanket over.

Amber greedily took it and hugged it to her. "I loves it, Hoshi! I don't have my own can I keeps it?"

Hoshi didn't cry right away, but her lower lip wibbled and her eyes filled with tears. "Noooooo, I want my blankie back!"

"But... but... you let me have it!" Hold and have were the same thing, right?

"Not for keeps1" protested Hoshi, looking like she was on the verge of tears, or maybe a tantrum.

Amber bit her lip and looked down at the blankie. It was warm and soft.

But it wasn't hers.

She extended her arm, giving it back. "No fair."

Hoshi took the blankie back and clutched it tightly. "Grampa Michio gave me blankie," she tried to explain.

"It's special blankie, Hoshi?"

Hoshi nodded. "Grampa Michio is my favorite person in the whole world!" she said.
