"I hope that you all aren't hungover or overtired from the dating event last night," Ghanima began cheerfully once everyone had assembled. "Because we're going to work you today."

Tyler glanced at her lazily. Was three-minute dates that big a deal with this crowd? The things he missed being all monogamous. He scratched his chin before speaking. "Right," he said. "And ... you with you, you with you, you with you ... Ghanima, other three?"

"You, with her. You two. And you and you," she continued, pointing people out. "Now go to it."

A lazy smile spread across Tyler's face, and he made a shoo'ing gesture before going off to find his own match.

"Don't worry, Dimitri," Rose assured him, totally teasing. "I'm pretty sure you can handle one jackassy Moroi royal."

"From what I've seen, you've had no difficult handling him." He was using amazing restraint here.

She took a moment to respond to that, not sure how it was supposed to be taken. "I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to insult your Moroi to get him to do what he needs to," she pointed out.

"Oh, I don't know," he replied. "There are different styles for different people." From what he'd seen, flirtation intermingled with insults seemed to be Rose's style.

Rose couldn't help smirking at him. "What's yours?"

Dimitri locked eyes with her. It was true that she'd figured out parts of him it seemed no one else had ever managed, but it was good to know that he still had a few things left to be discovered.

She almost couldn't breathe as she looked into those dark eyes. It was weird and possibly stalkery if it hadn't been Dimitri, but anything about Dimitri that she could find out, she wanted to.

"Maybe next week, I'll do that," she finally forced herself to say lightly.

Disappointed he wasn't able to stay and see her fight, he stood back to his full height with a nod. "I'd better be going. I'll see you tomorrow." Dimitri smiled a little and added, "Kick his ass."
