Strawberry Social - The Park, all day

Vida had gotten an early start in the park to set things up for the Strawberry Social. It had been chilly and damp when she arrived, but a stern glare at the clouds had sent them fleeing, and the sun was shining over the park now, making for a bright and sunny day. There was danceable music playing and plenty of places to stretch out and enjoy the sun.

Several picnic tables were laid end to end, covered with red table cloths and adorned with edible arrangements. There were plates to load up with food, which was available in plenty, including just about every strawberry dish imaginable. Vida had also thoughtfully provided red flowers to tuck in the hair and red scarves for those who might be feeling red-deficient.

Marshall was occasionally completely oblivious had missed the signs, but he did notice something being set up in the park while he was out for his run that morning before class; when he came back later to see what was going on -- after a shower and a change of clothes -- he was even wearing a red t-shirt.

Good, because Dolf only had so many clothes, and the closest to red he got was orange.

Which he wasn't wearing, because he had the fashion-consciousness of a slug. Instead he showed up in jeans and a t-shirt, hands shoved in his pockets, and eyes firmly on all the strawberries.

It was a party and Ariel came with her own awesome red accessory. Of course she was there! And she wasn't letting the potential clash with her hair prevent her from decking herself out with a cute red dress and cute red shoes, and a distinctively excited mood to have a really good time.

If anything, it was just nice to have sunshine again, but sunshine and a shindig? Sign her up!

Angelica had plenty of red, and her hair counted for something, right? She was still a little freaked about using her powers in class earlier that week, but her teacher hadn't even batted an eye at that (except to wonder why she was apologizing to the simulated zombie), so she stayed to the edges of the crowd.

Peter didn't really own anything red, per se, but in recognition of the event he'd put on a red tie, tied schoolboy-carelessly around his neck. He had a practiced grin pasted all over his face - the party look - and he felt he was looking quite charming.

He probably wasn't as far off from the truth as he usually was about that. For once.

Oh, boy! There was sun and there was a party and Butters sure was excited to get out and enjoy it. He'd even shucked off his blue parka and replaced it with a topical red shirt for the occasion, and he sure hoped everyone was going to have a real good time.

Kate hadn't decked herself out in red, since she was fairly sure she didn't own anything bright like that. She'd made an art of blending over the years, and it was a tough habit to break.

At least she was out here, lounged out on the grass with a plate of fruit and making the most of a quick break from that endless drizzly rain.

Red wasn't really Sam's color but he did have a tie that was flecked with red so he'd put that one over a loose white (and untucked) dress shirt, paired it with jeans and called it a day.

Really, he was just happy to be outside without the rain hitting him in the face. It was nice to breathe fresh air and see the sun. Even if it didn't last, it made Sam less likely to think the apocalypse was coming.

Red might be a Robin color, but it wasn't entirely Stephanie's. Still, she'd conceded to the spirit of the party with a bright red windbreaker and sneakers with red stripes; Bruce always said it was important to blend in where circumstances dictated.

Plus, yum, strawberries.

Nathan could do red. He owned a lot of fucking red things and he looked really damn good in all of them. That's what he thought, at least. Add to that the fact that he'd never been to anything called Strawberry Social before so he figured a stop in wouldn't do him any harm.

If he got bored, he'd just leave or he'd start a food fight. One or the other. Right now, all the food looked too fucking good to throw. And when free food was presented to you, you didn't waste it.

Bobby had a few red shirts so he was more than happy to follow the dress code. If he hadn't had a red shirt, he might've obsessed over not following the dress code, but luckily that little problem was avoided.

As it was, he was happily focused on enjoying as many strawberries as possible.

Kennedy could totally rock red, sure. And she wouldn't pass up the chance to come back to Fandom for the day, not when she missed her friends and had stuff for them anyway.

It was a little bit of a head trip to realize it was barely the start of summer here, when fall-- well, fall ten years ago-- was getting ready to start up for her back home. A little bit, but not enough to keep her from enjoying this.

Chuck had a red t-shirt! That counted enough towards the dress code that he was happy to tug it on, dose himself up with allergy meds, and make his way outside for the afternoon.

A Strawberry Social wouldn't typically bring Alex back to the island but his mom was up in a hospital for the weekend and Alex needed something to take his mind off that shit.

So, he'd caught himself a portal and taken it back to the island. He didn't know how long he'd stay but he could fill up on free food before heading back to the land of macaroni and cheese.

Simon was very much hoping that wearing red was more of a guideline than a rule, because he didn't even own anything red. His clothes, as always, were dark and neat.

He kept to the edges of the crowd, but looked relaxed enough.

Emma was just stopping over briefly on Fandom before heading out for the weekend. She'd wanted to pack a new bag with clean clothes, and when she'd heard there was a strawberry social, well, the girl did have a mutant metabolism. She'd stop and eat before her portal, thank you, and maybe even mingle a bit before running away off for the weekend.

Annie had never in her life heard of a strawberry social. Still, there was no doubt she was going to go. She had a dress already that had red in it, so that had to count, right?

Leia didn't have a lot of red to wear in her wardrobe, but she came up with a purplish-pink top that was close. And much more suitable for the warmer weather than the rain. She grabbed some chocolate-covered strawberries and looked around to see who was there.

Surreal was going to spend most of the party sampling little bits of everything, and trying to remember what it all was. Much of it was too sweet for her tastes, causing her to make faces, but she did like the tarts quite a lot.
