Turtle & Canary; Monday [11/02].

How exactly the store wound up with so much extra leftover Halloween candy every year was beyond Summer. She knew she didn't order it. Apu claimed he didn't order it. There was no way Shunsui would have bothered to order it, and yet there they were, with so much, when she didn't even bother ordering it because she knew the island provided most of it itself. And it was like the store had tried to compensate for it or somehow best the island on how much randomly generated Halloween candy there could be.

Which, therefor, called for a sign:

Welcome to Turtle & Canary!
Where we dont' have discounted Halloween candy
because we're giving it away for free

(with purchase)

Although, around this place? Summer wouldn't be surprised if everyone considered the free candy and was just all, 'nah, I'm good.'

Diaz & Ass., Monday [11/02].

"Excuse me?" asked the man, poking his head in through the door to the offices before cautiously entering. "But this is a detective agency, right?"

Rosa looked up from where she was editing together some clips from the security footage of the office for her class tomorrow, looked the pastorially disheveled youth up and down with a particular narrowing of her eyes at his staff. "Yeah. You need a detective?"

"I do," he said, gaining confidence as he moved in and took a seat across from her at the desk. "You see, I am a shepherd, by trade, and I've lost my sheep, and I don't know where to fi--"

"Out."

The shepherd blinked in surprise. "But I thought--"

"OUT!"

He stammered in confusion at the outburst, until Rosa slammed her hands on her desk, pushed herself up to her feet, and that was enough to get him moving out of the chair, and toward the door with an apology and a promise to look elsewhere.

Rosa glowered at the door a moment longer, before settling back into her chair with a sigh, rolling her eyes upward toward the ceiling.

"Bet you think you're real funny with that one," she murmured, to the island in general.

And it did. But not as funny as it felt after it sent at least three more sheepless shepherds through the door throughout the day, to a point where she was almost considering putting out a sign on the door that said "NOT an animal detective! Find your own damn sheep!"

Diaz & Ass is open!

Devil's Nest | Monday Night

After the last couple of weeks, Annie was honestly kind of surprised that nothing weird had happened today. Yesterday had felt like a pleasant respite, after turning into a bat on Saturday. (She was not over that. She would never be over that.)

But today found her testing the beer taps to see if they smelled nutmeg-y, and peering down the axe range in case it was full of turkeys, or something. Tiny wasn't exactly overtly making fun of her, but Annie still felt the need to defend herself. "I would rather not be surprised," she explained, opening a cabinet and preemptively moving backwards in case a bunch of leaves blew out.

Nothing.

The first Monday in November was pleasantly quiet, even if she couldn't really believe it.

Trooper Station, Monday, November 2, 2020

Steve was Not Thinking About Saturday night, and he was not thinking so hard that he'd made the Troopers run laps around the island for twice the normal time.

It was possible there would be a coup attempt soon, but for now Steve was happily ignoring paperwork of complaints filed on Saturday about propery damage from various rodents.

The Trooper Station was open!

MCA Lobby, Monday Evening

Danny wasn't avoiding Steve after the whole Halloween fiasco, he was just not fighting Steve avoiding him. Which was basically the same thing in their friendship, but whatever.

So, he was just gonna spend some time dealing with the weird paperwork that came from this apartment building.

"How many weird errors am I gonna get in that room?" he muttered to himself, looking at the newest one: ERR Christmas Too Early.

[expecting one, but open!]

Monday: Covent Garden Flowers

Nell spent some of her free time packaging and labeling her tea so that she could set it out to be sold in the store. She was very grateful for Lucille's giving her that opportunity.

She also spent some time making sure all the flowers and plants were well cared for. Some of the violets in particular needed a little extra reassurance after all the craziness of the past weeks.
