Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.

The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.

"I should ask around for recipes," Ellie said, snickering. "Maybe Gunther will share some."

That wasn't likely to happen.

"The scary guy at the hotel?" he checked. Well, the man yelled a lot. "I'll skip that. I'm thinking he's no more chipper than he was before you left."

"Yeah, I stopped by the hotel restaurant. I don't think he remembered me," Ellie said. "Or he was pretending. He's not exactly the sentimental type."

"Maybe secretly is and that yelling is all a big old act?" he tried.

For a moment, it seemed like he might mean that, then he shook his head.

"... Yeah, no that just doesn't seem right. At all."

"Yeah, that would just be weird," Ellie agreed. "It's a sure sign that something isn't right in Fandom."
