Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.

The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.

That wasn't quite what Simon had been looking for with 'interesting', but he'd take it.

"It's about making the most for what you have," he explained to Alisha. "It's a very good class."

"It is!" Kenzi agreed. "He made us fight lizard-wolves. And then figure out how to dress to impress." She grinned. "He likes to change it up."

Alisha raised an eyebrow. "He made you fight what?" she asked.

Simon was quick to shake his head. "It was just a simulation," he said. "It wasn't real."

"Just a mock-up," Kenzi had to admit. "Still cool. And gross." She grinned a little. "Some of the other teachers use the room that does those holograms for battles or Grand Central Station or other shit. This school's pretty awesome with the tech."

"Wow," Alisha had to say, twisting her lips. "Sounds like quite the school."

Maybe this was the right place for Simon right now.

"It is!" Kenzi grinned. "Way better than juvie. I'm almost glad I got caught now."

... More young offenders, great. Alisha wished she could've judged, but no go.

"Juvie?" she repeated, with a little laugh that betrayed she didn't really know what to say. "Nice."

Kenzi's eyebrows went up as her smile sharpened. She shrugged. "You live, you learn. It won't happen again."

...she wouldn't get caught again. There was a whole lot of theft in her future.
