Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.

The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.

"I didn't mean that," Sam said, wincing when he realized where her train of thought had gone. "I more meant if you've actually got a friend out of it or you decided to never speak again so you could metaphorically die of shame."

That did not make the pinkness better.

"...Oh. We sort of just fled the stage." And she wasn't trying to stalk him with her eyes today. "That's it."

"You don't need to repress, come on," Sam said, bypassing the round of applause. "I bet you were great. I'm sorry I missed out on that to eat Doritos and watch Ramon drool on the ground. That's my life, though."

"Ramon's a special kind of guy," Sam said but his tone was fond. "He's one of my oldest friends. He worked with me at Plumpy's. Never seen a guy who worked the deep fryer as good as him."
