Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park
As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.
The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.
[OOC: Have fun!]

Re: Tables! [PW]
"Yeah, but I don't haven't talked to any of these people," she pointed out, gauging a moment to strike out. For all her talk, she could tell a fighter, and his calm was in no way fooling her.
Best thing was not to show preparation, and strike quick and light for now. He had no real weapon so she had no intention of putting any real weight behind it until she was sure of how fast he was.
She grinned and struck out. Nothing he wouldn't be able to block or avoid if he was as talented as he claimed.
Re: Tables! [PW]
The sheath instantly came up, blocking the strike and Jaime leaned forward, raising an eyebrow. "Got to do better than that, wench. I won't break."
Re: Tables! [PW]
Still didn't stop her from arching the sword around for another strike, at his left side. Off hand, people could be a little weaker in their defense. Kate would never win at power, but she was quick, though not as she'd have liked with a heavier sword.
Re: Tables! [PW]
"No, I completely failed to notice."
Re: Tables! [PW]
"Apparently," she exhaled, catching her balance as she stepped back to give her a better stance when she struck forward again, high at his shoulder. "All the better for me, right?"
Re: Tables! [PW]
This was getting better and while he would not be able to test her kills for real with only a sheath as weapon, he could use it to test her speed.
"Let's step things up, shall we?" he suggested as he moved into the opening for his next attack.
Re: Tables! [PW]
Enough reason to grin and nod, "Bring it."
Once she loosened up a little it was easy to get into a flow dodging and parrying and letting her instincts guide her strikes rather than her mind. She was still pulling her hits, but that seemed... wise, considering the circumstances. This wasn't an arena.
Re: Tables! [PW]
The goading was replaced by a pleased grin as they fell into the flow of striking and blocking and it was a dance he enjoyed for too much. After a moment, he eased back, though, satisfied with the skills he had seen despite how he could see that she was used to a lighter blade.
"You'll do," he allowed with a smirk.
