Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.

The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.

Jeremy grinned, pleased. "Thanks, it's Dior. Last year's but that just means it's a classic."

His attention span... not that much better, no.

Jackson nodded approvingly. Not that he cared all that much about clothes, but if the Jacksannah scandal of a few years ago had taught him anything, it was that there was nothing wrong with nice things. "This is... American Eagle," he added, indicating his own polo shirt.

"My sister likes Dior too, I think. They make those weird looking shoes, right?" They were called heels, Jackson.

"I don't know," Jeremy replied, looking quizzical. How was he to know Jackson meant heels? Heels were heels, you couldn't not know that when you grew up parcatically joined at the hip with a pretty socialite for a twin sister.

Which reminded him... "Oh, hey, who's your sister?"

But when you grew up with a pretty pop star for a baby sister and an oblivious streak the size of Los Angeles County, these things were easier to miss.

Okay, fine, the gig was up. "Miley Stewart," Jackson admitted. "She's, uh, that one," he added, pointing through the crowd at a brunette he could swear was her. Then the girl turned so he could see her face and Jackson hastened to clarify, "Wait, no, that one."

What? It was really crowded!

"You know her?"

"You're Miley's brother?" Yes, Jeremy, that's what he said. Even if he failed to point her out to you at first. "Yeah, I know her."

They weren't always the best of friends, see.

That got a slightly puzzled look from Jeremy. Look, his sister was his BFF. "What do you mean, unfortunately? Miley's great."

"You don't think she's a little annoying?" Jackson asked skeptically. Mostly because he couldn't imagine someone not thinking that.

He'd gotten a bit sidetracked from his goal of checking out his sister's crush, yes.

"Why would I think she's annoying?" Jeremy asked, with the sincerity of someone who came from a world full of shallow girls. "She's just fun."

He already had plans to discredit this guy on the grounds of having poor taste. No offense, Jeremy.
