Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

As was traditional, the start of the end of Parents' Weekend featured plenty of food, benches, chairs, and coffee in the park. After all, the Student Council couldn't let the parents be weirded out one last time without a feast.

The sky was a little overcast, but the temperatures were still above normal, which was a lucky break for the final day of the weekend.

Dany was a little taken aback, because that was fairly more...cheer than what she was used to. But Rhaegal stirred in her arms as the other two dragons peered out at the girl, and Dany said, "How wonderful to meet a friend of Petra's. My name is Daenerys. She told you about my dragons?"

Of course she had. That was one of her most noticable features.

Tiara nodded, leaning in to get a better look at the waking lizards. "Uh-huh, she said they were bitty but she didn't want them to light her stuff on fire, so we shouldn't teach them to light candles even if it'd be kind of awesome."

It was more cheer -- pageant-girl poise, really -- than most people were used to.

"Daenerys is a pretty name." She got her tongue around it fairly well.

"Petra calls me Dany," she offered. "And this is Rhaegal, Drogon and Viserion. And they won't light her things aflame unless I tell them to, which I won't. I suppose they might be useful for candles, if so inclined, though."

"Have you ever used them that way?" Tiara asked. "They're so little. And cute. What's their flame like?"

"Very small," Dany said, her smile widening a little though she didn't relax enough to pull back her hood. "They're only babies now -- they're not quite three months old. And I've yet to try, but I imagine winter will prove their usefulness." She was sort of wildly excited for winter, while also being terrified. Dany had never seen snow or real cold, that she remembered.
