Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Mixer, Community Center, Saturday Evening

It would appear, to anyone who came to the community center tonight, that whoever had been responsible for decorating for the reunion mixer actually had some taste. The decorations were simple - white linen on the tables with gold and blue flowers as a centerpiece, and a notable lack of streamers - but there was, of course, gold and blue glitter scattered just about everywhere. This was a Fandom event after all.

Considering Surreal hadn't aged a single day since graduation, she felt the nametag was rather silly, but still, she put on a smile and put it on.

Although if anyone was expecting the surly, angry teenager from back then, well, they'd be in for a surprise. Although she was still as sharp as ever.

Momoko chuckled to herself as she picked up a name tag. Really, anyone who didn't recognize her, totally deserved to guess! But, playing fair was still her basic nature and she carefully wrote, Momoko Reyes (née Akatsutsumi) on her nametag.

She considered adding 'class of 2011' but really, did she want to advertise she was that old?

Jono was fairly certain that he didn't exactly need a nametag, considering the fact that he was more or less a fixture around the island and had been for over twenty years, now. Still and all, he supposed there might have been those who were more used to his somewhat larger, less burning look, and so he did write Jono on a nametag and then stuck it on his sleeve, over his bicep.

He really didn't have any chest to put it on, and he wasn't hiding his flames tonight, though he'd considered doing so. What point would there be? This was Fandom.

Ben picked up an nametag, scrawled "Ben Skywalker (or Wiggin, depending on galaxy/alias necessity)" on them (because that took two tags) and went off to find people to chat at.

"William Kessler" was how Billy tended to think of himself, but most of his friends from before college still called him Billy.

So his nametag read; "Billy Kessler".

Tara got a nametag. She was aging pretty well, sure, but she wasn't 18 any more -- the way her joints ached after a fight gave more than enough evidence of that.

Zhahar still wasn't sure how Zeela had managed to talk her into coming to this thing. Waking up on Fandom had been weird enough, but finding out that there was some sort of event that they were just in time for was even weirder. So, there she was, with 'Zhari' written on her chest, and two stickers waiting, just in case.

They'd tried to convince Sholeh to come into view since Sholeh was still the sister everyone had known best, but so far, she was being stubborn. Still hiding, but for different reasons than this morning.

That was fine. Zhahar was content to wander and mingle and hope that Sholeh could be coaxed out eventually.

Dance Floor

The DJ was playing all the classics of the 2010's, as well as any tunes performed by the talented alumni of Fandom High.

Someone had to be on the dance floor, and Mystique, exhibitionist that she was, was there, hips rocking to a sensual tempo no matter what the music.

At least she was wearing a dress -- a slinky white number with a belt made of tiny skulls that left pretty much nothing to the imagination. Or, well, she looked like she was wearing a dress, anyway. Which on her, was about the same thing, really.

Robin never missed an opportunity to perform when back in Fandom, so of course he'd be providing some of the entertainment.

Over at a table off to the side of the room, Gert was working her way through some mini-quiches and the better part of a beer. Because if you had a night off from hero duty, you took advantage of it. That was just a rule.

Peter - his nametag reading Peter Wiggin prominently, not that it'd be hard to recognize him for who he was - lounged out near the bar looking approachable and positively presidential.

Afterwards he was going to go to his new hotel room and sleep for fifteen hours - but now he was awake, and hopped up on sleep deprivation.

So he'd picked a table and was now making his way through an enormous amount of food. So good.

Emma didn't have seven-year-old triplets to parent this weekend, and she didn't need to drive; the number for the rickshaw company was still in her phone.

Which meant that Emma was taking full advantage of the open bar, thank you very much. She could mingle and network and drink to her heart's content, without needing to worry about what her trio of telepaths were doing. Thank goodness for Slayer-trainee babysitters.

Jaina skipped the name tag, because frankly she'd been here enough that she didn't think she needed it. And unlike some empresses, she was totally fine being here and getting a drink to nurse for the night.

Because Jag got to deal with the job and the kids and Jaina got the weekend off. She was not going to argue this.
