"No." Bo crossed her arms behind the bar and ignored the balloon Tiny was holding out to her. "I already told you my terms. The whole thing or no deal."

Tiny held up his phone in the other hand, then made a show of putting it away. Bo just shook her head.

"No. I don't care if you record me. I'm just not doing it without the quid pro quo." She reached out and bopped the balloon lightly. "Every. Single. Verse."

Which was why anyone visiting the bar tonight, including the guests at Warren and Karla's birthday party, would find themselves treated to a high-pitched -- and very long -- performance of I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General from the huge guy in the leather vest.

Bo's performance, they'd have to be very good at searching YouTube (or know Tiny's username) to find, and also fast enough to get there before Bo filed the fake DMCA takedown notice. Or the obscenity one. She was still trying to decide which seemed more likely coming from Disney.

"Oh man, I am so sorry," Kenzi said, sounding it. "I can't imagine-- well, okay, I can. And it *blows*."

"Worst part?" Karla said, leaning close. "No Craft while you're pregnant."

She demonstrated the Craft she'd been without by trying to float the last of Kenzi's cake over to her own plate.

"Errrm-- HEY." That had not been where Kenzi was going with that thought. But now she had to get Moar CAKE. And stopping hers from escaping by licking it mid-flight. "Mine!"

Karla laughed and put the cake back down. "I can't argue with a girl fast enough to lick a floating cake."

Fair was fair, after all.

"How's Toby? Do you need more magazines? I'm pretty sure I can have a few--" dozen "--more delivered if you'd like."

Kenzi cackled and munched on the cake, then said, "Toby's good, getting close to the end of the school year and all." And they really, really needed to talk about that. "Youuuu will not have that crap delivered to me if you know what's good for you, jeez! We are so not going down that path yet!" She pointed at Karla. "You're engaged and shit, right? You get those magazines!"

Karla waved her very sparkly ring in Kenzi's direction. "We are," she preened. "But that's about as far as it's gonna go for awhile. We're a little more concerned with patching up a Territory than planning a royal wedding."

Her expression turned distinctly mischievous. "But maybe all I need is someone else's wedding for some inspiration..."

"Missed your chance, Witchy Woman. I already got married on one of the weird weekends to my pal Cecil. It was awesome. Everyone objected. We left for Vegas the next day." Kenzi took a triumphant bite of her cake. "Not happening any time soon, get Bo to do it, I'm sure there's some takers there."

"Cecil?" Karla asked, trying to place the name. "Kinda skinny, dark hair, a little weird, even for this place?"

"And awesome, don't forget that," Kenzi told her. "His hometown's even weirder than Fandom, by most standards, the guy's scared of librarians. And doesn't believe in mountains. But he looks faaaabulous in a red taffeta." She stared over at Warren consideringly. "Hmmm."

"If he doesn't believe in mountains, he's more than welcome to come to Glacia and and them them they don't exist." Karla followed her gaze and Hmm'd right along with her, forgetting to explain to Kenzi how she'd met Cecil. "He could pull it off."

"He could, but you know, fuschia might be even better?" Kenzi said thoughtfully. She probably assumed Karla knew him from the Radio, like everyone else. "I don't know if Cecil would spontaneously go blind or not, if you forced him to look at mountains. That's a pretty weird thought."

"Wouldn't put it past him," Karla muttered.

Cecil had been very...excitable when they'd met.

"Hmm, what do you think, like maybe more a maroon?" she suggested. "I think he looks better in darker shades over brighter."

"My ex-husband is special," Kenzi said placidly. There ya go. Not weird! Special!

She squinted at Warren, who should have been flinching by now if his trouble-radar was working, and said, "You know, you might have a point, pale stuff would wash him out, bright stuff just make him fade into the background-- maybe a really intense violet?"

You'd think he'd've developed one by now. Look who he was engaged to!

"Oooh, I like that," Karla agreed. "He'd look so good in that. It would bring out the gold in his skin and hair, too."

"AND." Kenzi was on a roll. "You could dye the feathers to match, maybe? Put some feather trip on the skirt?"

"Oh noooo," Karla said, cackling. "We've tried that before. I don't think we're going there again."

She pulled out her phone and scrolled back to pictures from high school. And there was Warren, wings brightly painted with rainbows, looking like the most awkward gay macaw ever.

Excuse Kenzi while she inhales cake, and chokes, laughing too hard to breathe at that. Then pulls out her own phone for wedding pictures.

They look charming, and they match!

"That's so much less insane-Vegas than I was expecting," Karla said with a snort. "I'm almost disappointed!"

"And now the pictures of the honeymoon."

In the drunk tank at Vegas together. You're welcome.

"Much better!" Karla said, pretending to breathe a sigh of relief. "I was worried I didn't know you at all!"

Kenzi sighed with happy nostalgia. "It would've been much better if they'd let me keep the tiger cub."

Although that feather boa on Cecil kinda looked alive, so.

"...No, Kenzi."

Karla felt confident that whomever had taken away the lion cub had been in the right. And this was from the girl with the tiny dinosaur.
