The Devil's Nest, Saturday, April 12th
"No." Bo crossed her arms behind the bar and ignored the balloon Tiny was holding out to her. "I already told you my terms. The whole thing or no deal."
Tiny held up his phone in the other hand, then made a show of putting it away. Bo just shook her head.
"No. I don't care if you record me. I'm just not doing it without the quid pro quo." She reached out and bopped the balloon lightly. "Every. Single. Verse."
Which was why anyone visiting the bar tonight, including the guests at Warren and Karla's birthday party, would find themselves treated to a high-pitched -- and very long -- performance of I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General from the huge guy in the leather vest.
Bo's performance, they'd have to be very good at searching YouTube (or know Tiny's username) to find, and also fast enough to get there before Bo filed the fake DMCA takedown notice. Or the obscenity one. She was still trying to decide which seemed more likely coming from Disney.
[Open! Karla and Warren's birthday party be happenin' in the VIP area; the rest of the joint is open to anyone.]

Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
...
"Did you have anything weird happen to you the past week or so?"

"And a casting director told me that I'd be hard to cast in big theater productions because I'm so small, most of the people in the audience wouldn't be able to see me."
He hadn't wanted to burden her with all this, but it did feel good to get it off his chest.
Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
"And second, if the studio is insisting Mr Kermit change his script, that's Mr Kermit's problem. He can fight it or agree with it, but that's his business. Second and a half, that sort of thing happens all the time, you're just close enough to the writer that you're hearing about it early." HOW many rumours of the cast of the new Black Bullet sentai series had she heard now?
She bent to look Robin square in the eyes. "And third, you are short. Obviously not too short, since you got accepted to the school and you've been in some productions. You'll just have to learn to work around it."
Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
It was rare that anyone was as up-front and blunt with a Muppet as Momoko had just been. Muppets almost never were with each other. They were very emotional creatures, given to hysterics, and possibly just a bit bi-polar at times.
It was a very good thing that Momoko and Robin were as close as they were, or he would have likely felt very stung indeed. As it was, he was shaken. Everything she'd said was true, but he was going to need a moment to get past the shock and process what she was really saying.
Robin, meet tough love.
Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
Momoko reached out to pull her sad friend into a hug. "Robin! It's not bad!"
Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
One of the nice things about Muppets of course is that they tend to bounce back from things pretty quickly. A pep talk, or song, or even just a hug could usually repair any damages.

"Thanks." the wee Frog said, cheering a bit. "You're a great friend, you know that?"

Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
Even when one of his biggest roles might be a blockbuster trilogy you consider boring? Not to worry, it would be a Muppet thing so all the walky parts would have songs and jokes.Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
Hey now! She buys it and lets the kids watch it twenty times a day and doesn't claw her eyes out! Because no matter how many jokes and songs and chickens you add, it was still a boring story without mechas.Re: Karla and Warren's Birthday -- Arrive/Mingle
Now i'm totally imagining LotR with Mechs instead of Ents.
