3 Minute Dates 21 - Caritas - Saturday night

3 MINUTE DATES

Unlike most 3MDs, there didn't seem to be a host. The zombies were just set up, all quiet, when the lights went out.

After a few moments, music started to play. A man's voice started to sing "Ooooooooh" while backing vocals repeated "come on."

The first chorus played before a voice that might have been familiar to longtime residents came up and completely failed to introduce himself. "Welcome to Three Minute Dates. I gave this CD to Tino years ago, just in case this thing I started turned a sexy, legal to drink in the rest of the country 21. In honor of that, have an open bar, courtesy of me, to make sure my name is never forgotten. When somebody reads your names or whatever happens, pair up, get drunk, and let those beer goggles take over for three minutes until this sound plays."

The song cued back up, singing, "You're hopelessly HOPELEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!" It was, perhaps, a mixed message.

"Have fun. And try not to bang too many people at once, like I'm definitely doing right now."

Finally the lights came back on. Jessica turned to Tino at the bar, taking a free drink, and asked, "Who was that?" Tino just shrugged. He clearly knew, but he was admitting to nothing.

[OOC: Three minutes = ten comments total, five per person. You don't need to do your threads chronologically, but try not to Joss yourself.

OCD starts now. If I fall asleep before it's done, don't mind me. I'll finish up when I wake up. ETA: That's happening. Final 2 rounds posted when I wake up. Feel free to start on the first 3 rounds now. FINALLY DONE!

If I made a blatant mistake, like skipping a character completely for a round or posting a pairing twice, feel free to grab me on AIM or in the OOC thread and I'll make a quick fix. Remember, attacks on your dates will get you teleported elsewhere on the island.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.

"We're afloat and on one planet," Tamsin said, raising her Bloody Mary in reply. "I think it's working out pretty well so far. How's teaching the brats? Are you still teaching?"

"Nah, hiding in the library where it's nice and quiet and everyone leaves me the fuck alone unless the world is bloody ending," he admitted, unrepentant. "Giving me kids for seven weeks is bad enough. A whole semester? Who knows what kind of damage I could do."

"You ever considered during a turn of summer school?"

"And teach them what?" Tamsin asked dryly. "I'd want to punt the little hormonal idiots out the window in the first few seconds."

John grinned. "Dee and I taught sex ed," he said, grinning widely. "Did our damnedest to at least make the hormonal idiots remember protection, and possibly made it as un-sexy as possible."

"You know all your hard work is going out the window the next time sex pollen hits us again, right," Tamsin said. "Winchester should just start leaving the kids complimentary condoms, just in case."

He shrugged. "Eh, we got at least another few weeks before that hits again, and I'm not above putting bowls of free condoms out on the counter at the library, just for the sake of the books."

"Though if you're going to throw another party for the adults, I'll make sure to order a case of Black Sheep to tide us over." It had been popular, and far be it of John to deprive anyone.

"I'm starting to think I should just start putting out the 'sex pollen week' contribution box a month or two before it's that time again," Tamsin mused. "You can donate beer, other people can donate condoms, we might actually make it through."

"See, that's the type of survivalist-thinking I appreciate in the woman running this city," John said. "Few people chip in for pizza or curry delivery, and we'll be set for the week."
