3 MINUTE DATES

Unlike most 3MDs, there didn't seem to be a host. The zombies were just set up, all quiet, when the lights went out.

After a few moments, music started to play. A man's voice started to sing "Ooooooooh" while backing vocals repeated "come on."

The first chorus played before a voice that might have been familiar to longtime residents came up and completely failed to introduce himself. "Welcome to Three Minute Dates. I gave this CD to Tino years ago, just in case this thing I started turned a sexy, legal to drink in the rest of the country 21. In honor of that, have an open bar, courtesy of me, to make sure my name is never forgotten. When somebody reads your names or whatever happens, pair up, get drunk, and let those beer goggles take over for three minutes until this sound plays."

The song cued back up, singing, "You're hopelessly HOPELEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!" It was, perhaps, a mixed message.

"Have fun. And try not to bang too many people at once, like I'm definitely doing right now."

Finally the lights came back on. Jessica turned to Tino at the bar, taking a free drink, and asked, "Who was that?" Tino just shrugged. He clearly knew, but he was admitting to nothing.

[OOC: Three minutes = ten comments total, five per person. You don't need to do your threads chronologically, but try not to Joss yourself.

OCD starts now. If I fall asleep before it's done, don't mind me. I'll finish up when I wake up. ETA: That's happening. Final 2 rounds posted when I wake up. Feel free to start on the first 3 rounds now. FINALLY DONE!

If I made a blatant mistake, like skipping a character completely for a round or posting a pairing twice, feel free to grab me on AIM or in the OOC thread and I'll make a quick fix. Remember, attacks on your dates will get you teleported elsewhere on the island.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.

"Have fun, don't try to talk about anything big, hit on anyone you like right away," Dante replied.

He sat back with his drink. "Like, I don't know. 'Come find me if you're not banging anyone else by the end of the night'."

"Well, thus far, I've seen Lucille, Isabela, and you," Hyacinthe said with a grin. "I am quite content with my choices for the evening. And I've seen Ada and Roscoe around as well." Craning his head around, he asked, "Is your roommate here? If so, we might have all of my favorite people in one spot."

And, oh, the images that possibility brought up.

"I had him last round," Dante said easily, jerking a thumb towards where Anders was now. "Talking about orgies and timing."

... he liked the idea of orgies. He liked the reality of including Anders in stuff. "You like him, huh."

"Now I am disappointed we've not been discussing orgies and timing. Do I hope that scheduling one was part of the discussion, too?" he teased with a merry grin.

He followed Dante's gesture and nodded. "I do," he said lightly. "He's handsome and friendly and we got along well when we spoke at Ada's party. I'd like to get to know him better." He raised a slight eyebrow. "So long as I was not misreading anything...?"

Anders' interest, his and Dante's relationship, whatever.

"Misreading what?" Dante asked lightly. (It may have been a challenge, in case Hyacinthe was accusing him of anything. Or maybe it was an honest question. Who the hell knew?) He shrugged, fixing a glance on Anders. "He's had a rough time of it this summer," he said. "He deserves to have a good time. So be nice."

"I assure you, I am always nice," Hyacinthe said, avoiding the potential challenge by ignoring it completely in favor of giving Dante a playful wink instead. The song cue came on a second later and Hyacinthe stood. "Do let me know if anything comes of the orgy chatter. I'd love to be included."

What? Dante was the de facto party planner on the isle, so far as Hyacinthe could tell.

Dante let out a soft snicker. "Trust me," he said, "Wouldn't dream of leaving you out."

And lo, Hyacinthe got his wink returned, before Dante moved on to the next one.
