Caritas- Tuesday
There was a party at Caritas today, so Kitty came in early to make sure everything was properly set up. She did most of this alone, since Tino hadn't come in yet.
Right before opening he still wasn't there, and Kitty was a little worried she'd have to serve the whole party by herself.
He showed up five minutes late with Starbucks, and this might be the most Kitty had ever hated anybody.

Stage
Re: Stage
See, Summer had given him all of two days to figure out how to make this happen, and while Monday had been... busy... he'd taken himself to task on Sunday night. So maybe it seemed like a cop-out when the music for Rocket Man began to play, but Kanan actually did his damnedest to follow along. Maybe he didn't have the voice for it, exactly. His voice was a fair bit deeper than Elton John's after all. But he seemed to do pretty well hitting the words.
And then the song was over. And he grinned a little.
"This one is for the most sadistic birthday girl I know," he said into the microphone as his second song started to play.
And you know what, Summer? Apparently two days was enough time for him to not be a complete disaster at that, either.
"LEONARD BERNSTEIN!"
He remembered. Happy birthday, Summer.

As if having to actually talk to people other than Kitty last week wasn't bad enough, there appeared to be a...party or something going on this week. What kind of psycho had a party on a Tuesday?
Rosa was definitely going to be glowering into her beer over this one. She might have just gone home, but...she was already here, so...

Re: Bar
"Ugh," she said, "birthday parties are the worst. Anyone over the age of six having a birthday party should die in a fire."
Yeah, she edited her thoughts on the matter recently, since telling them to just go to hell apparently garnered a 'no thanks I've already been there' reply.

And it was her birthday, too, so she shouldn't feel guilty about keeping those Summer Smith cocktails flowing.

Pause. Clarification.
"Not my drink as in it's mine and I'm going to drink it, but my drink as in the one I made up and named after myself."

... It was possibly the first birthday present he'd ever given anybody, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying.
Even if, ah, it was a blaster pistol. That was a perfectly normal 18th birthday gift, right?
"I never claimed to be good at this," he shared, giving her a little nod hello as he stepped into the back room. "Happy birthday, Summer."
Re: Back Room
It took everything Summer had not to just go over and tackle him with a hug. She was going to be good, she was going to restrain herself, she was...
...going to say fuck it and hug him anyway. Even if it was a little awkward with the box under his arm that shouldn't be there.
"I said no presents."
She...did not sound very upset about there being a present, though.

...so, no, he still hadn't figured out that Summer pretty much just invited everyone.
It seemed rude to refuse an invitation, and he hadn't actually been to the bar yet, so it seemed like a happy combination of things to get him out and about, even if birthdays seemed a little silly to him. But humans only lived a fraction of the life that Zora did...he supposed they wanted to celebrate what little bit they had as much as they could.
Re: Back Room
Summer had no idea that Sidon thought she didn't like him, nor would the idea ever cross her mind, especially since it was borne from this one time she'd yelled at him for dripping water on the carpet at a party where they weren't even really themselves anyway. She was honestly sort of glad that there was a non-human element to the party, because parties kind of felt weird without them now. Plus, being able to say there was royalty at your shindig was always a bonus.
"Thanks for coming!"
Re: Back Room
"Hi, Summer!" she greeted with a wave.
Re: Back Room
"Hera, hey!" Summer waved back, bouncing over, careful not to spill her very, very, very pink drink. "Thanks for coming!"

Peridot was simply walking into the bar, walking up to Summer, and wrapping her arms around Summer's leg.
Summer had left. Who did that?
Re: Back Room
Awwww. She missed having a Peridot on her leg.
"Hey, Peridot," she said, grinning down, fighting the urge to just pat the top of her hair. "What's up?"

Unlike Peridot, Jason's hug would end up a little higher than her kneecaps.
"Hey, you," he greeted. "It's good to have you back." Yes, he'd been vaguely aware that she'd been around during that whole... thing... where all the adults got younger, but
because the player was too busy playing a teen-ified adultsomehow they hadn't managed to cross paths.Re: Back Room
