Barton-Pryde Baby Shower, The Onsen - Monday Afternoon

The Onsen was decorated in tastefully gender neutral pastel greens and yellows with a sign directing guests of the shower to where they were meant to go. And, for a change, the island wasn't doing something strange to mess up a party!

...no one point out that just saying that was jinxing things. Just go on in and enjoy the party, hoping that no nefarious brotherhood of evil anythings showed up.

Well, that was a familiar buzz at the edge of her awareness, and so Emma decided to wander in a particular direction, not actually looking where she was going but enjoying her delicious snacks.

"Honestly, Robert, did you come all this way and didn't bring Sookie," she began as she approached, not actually looking at him yet -- and for the record, NOT actively reading his mind because Emma was trying to be good, dammit -- "I'm starting to think--"

She actually looked up with her eyes, and blinked, before she did actually extend the barest edges of her telepathy to confirm Bobby-was-not-Bobby and not Bobby-got-de-aged. Because both were a possibility around here.

"Right. Now I officially feel old, there's a tiny-Drake running around who's not my Drake or my other Drake, who I technically haven't met yet."

Also, this Bobby didn't have a little piece of Emma lurking about in his head.

He squinted suspiciously at Emma. "... You're not old," he said finally. Because the her he knew was like. Way older.

Well, really, that was his loss. Though Emma could fix it if he wanted!

"Oh, you're cleverer," Emma said approvingly, because let's be real, her world's Bobby might have said something stupid -- he was young and dumb and BFFs with WORTHINGTON -- and her Bobby would be hard-pressed to pass up a chance to tease Emma.

"When are you from, then, little icicle?"

Her Bobby would also strenuously object to being called ‘her Bobby’, accurate as that was.

This one, however, was also going to laugh at that question, because...
