Caritas- Tuesday

It was a good day for a party! Nothing weird was happening, most people were probably between traumas, and why not celebrate with free booze.

Sure, Chaos Drink advertisements were up all over the interior of Caritas, but they were literally paying to host an event where everyone could drink a ridiculously delicious alcohol for free, so it was worth it, right? And surely this deal wasn't too good to be true or anything.

Ummmmm, yeah. Like there was going to be a free drinking event at 'her' bar with a company that, hey, if they were into big promotions like this might also be interested in a partnership involving jello at some point, and Summer wasn't going to be there? Like, hi, have you even met her??

"Oh," Summer marveled at the night she had ahead of her, "I am so ready for this."

And if she didn't entirely regret everything in the morning, well, then, she clearly hadn't done this right!

Rosa was, as one might expect, not exactly thrilled about a free booze event happening on her usual night at the bar, not because of the free booze part, that was great, actually, she loved that. But it was more about the fact that she imagined most people loved free booze, and therefor, would be coming in accordingly.

Which...well, at least there'd be plenty of free booze around to help her deal with it, right?

Um, yes. See, this place never got up to fun stuff that didn't involve something weird happening, and the bar served under 21, so of course Alexis had to show up.

And she'd get a real drink too but when the shots were free, doing a couple was sort of like pregaming.

Jaye was still in her early to mid twenties and there were so many reasons she would look forward to a free bar, such as not getting hangovers.

Plus the shots actually tasted good? Oh this could be trouble.

Tisarwat had been summoned to come out to this thing that evening, and, she had to admit, while there was one part of her brain that was definitely sure that this was a horrible idea, there was another, more prominant part that was really looking forward to where this might end up.

Both parts of her brain, however, were very much wishing they'd thought to stock up on Radchaai meds more before leaving the Radch the last time they visited.

It didn't take much to sway Shunsui away from his usual sake, really, but a whole event centered around drinks for free was certainly a good way to convince him.

There would still be sake in between the rather charmingly named Chaos Drinks, of course, but that was mostly just for a palete cleanser.

Another fruitless day, another bunch of failed experiments, the same weird apartment to get back to. If Margo could get away with postponing that last part for a while, she’d take it. And look: those were some of her favorite words up on that banner.

“Free booze?” she said, sitting down at the bar. “That almost sounds too good to be true.”

Amaya had also been summoned to the bar by a ponytailed person affiliated with Turtle & Canary, although not the one responsible for summoning all those younger folks to the event. In fact, it was the sort of invitation that Amaya was ready and willing to completely ignore, except for the fact that free drinks were promised, and if there was something Amaya had trouble refusing, it was anything attached to the word 'free.'

Of course, when she got there and saw that the free drinks were inherent in the nature of the event and not merely the generosity of someone's already deep pockets, she had to just sort of roll her eyes with a little groan.

Hilarious, really.

...but, also, hey! Free drinks! That weren't going to make her beholden to anyone after all, so this worked out much better in the long run, anyway.

Upside of a busy bar, Din could just blend in. At least, that was how it worked back home.

Free booze? Faye would have been here even if it had tasted like lighter fluid.

The fact that it was good was just the cherry on top. Though it also took the fun out of things when drinks were just automatically free, since Faye so enjoyed the challenge of trying to get drinks paid for or stealing them.

He had told Kitty he would be here, so of course Stark was making an appearance after his evening class. He tried to keep his word when possible. The free drinks were also a draw, of course, and he was curious to try something new, and to see what sort of party this ended up being. He'd somehow never attended anything resembling a product launch before coming to Fandom or after. Somehow.

The bar was a bit more crowded than he would have liked but that was to be expected when the alcohol was free. He offered a nod to Tino as he found an open stool.

Three chobobros walk into a bar...stop me if you've heard this one...

Anyway, yeah, three chocobros definitely did walk into a bar, fresh off the portal back to the island after a pretty long day yesterday. It had been Noctis's birthday, after all, and the festivities (mostly just hanging out in Noct's apartment, honestly; after the big well-to-do last year, he'd been desperate for something more quiet and lowkey), and they were thinking of just staying back in Insomnia until later in the week for their class, buuut....Prompto had gotten a few texts from a certain ponytailed Caritas hype woman about this event, and honestly? It sounded like a lot of fun, and he figured it was a good way to get Gladio to get to know the place a little better and push Ignis toward that whole socializing (that didn't involve what he imagined was just pompously drinking wine some nights at the Devil's Nest) more thing.

And so they figured their little trio could take up a nice spot in the lounge, with Prompto hopping back and forth to deliver drinks for what was sure to be yet another excellent evening.
