The store was decorated to the nines, if Irene said so herself.

The glitter floating in the air gave the room a romantic, sparkling touch, along with a magicked scented candle that somehow managed to permeate the whole shop. Every surface was decorated with vases of steel roses along with normal, red ones, and a few petals for effect here and there. There was a neat little bar off to one side, staffed by a completely moddable NPC bartender that Irene had hired from the mainland and well-stocked with themed drinks for the evening.

But you didn't come to a party in a sex store to admire the bar, did you?

Tables draped with clean white linen and red and pink satin accents were distributed through the store with displays on them -- massage oils near the entrance, vibrators, plugs and dildos up in the middle, and the more intense gear towards the back. Naturally, some of those steel roses were laid out artfully amongst the toys, again along with some regular red ones. Near to the entrance was a table with a large glass fishbowl and a stack of little slips of paper, so that guests could enter to win one of several door prizes.

And finally, there were a few suction-cupped arrows stuck to the flat surfaces around, and if you were a sneaky sort of person, you might have been able to find the bows Irene had stashed around the shop, too. She didn't really want to encourage shooting at one another, but, you know. Curious people should be rewarded.

Did Buck have an immediate use for any of the prizes? Nope. Was he throwing his name in the drawing anyway? Damn right he was.

Free stuff was free stuff, even if it was sex toys.

Once that was done he made his way further into the store, mingling and looking at merchandise. Looking. Not touching. He wasn't a weirdo.

While de la Renta was a little...foofy for Irene, normally, playing hostess at a Valentine's Day party seemed exactly the occasion to go...well, elegantly foofy. (Though she kept things classic, at least, with her Louboutin strappy heels and her hair up in its usual elaborate updo.)

She could generally be found wafting through the shop, greeting guests and trying to make sure no one seemed too alarmed or hiding in a corner.

Amaya was mostly just really wishing she'd known about that dance a bit sooner, because that could have provided the perfect excuse to have gotten her out this particular predicament. But as it was, she said she'd be here, and she was a woman of her word, and so there the was, probably doing the mental math about which was likely to hit sooner: enough time passed to feasibly make her exit or enough drinks consumed to stop caring.

And...oh nooooo, look at thaaat, how did her name wind up on a slip of paper in that fishbowl? Surely she had no idea! Truly a mystery for the ages, o h w e l l.

Obviously, Summer was at the party because jello but also she was pretty sure she alone kept this place afloat in sales for a good chunk of time before Irene showed up, but she was also here, in this thread, to not only show off how AMAZING she looked, but also to ensure her name 100% got into that fishbowl.

Lucille wasn't sure this was her kind of party, and now she was here she felt quite self-conscious in her new dress, one that displayed her bare shoulders in a rather decadent way.

But she was no longer stuck in the social norms of her time, she had been telling herself, and this was just one party. Perhaps, without wanting to admit it to herself, she also wanted to surprise herself.

She wrote her name on a slip of paper, hoping she wouldn't win anything.

So was this the place Dwight would have even considered showing up at a year or two ago? No, not at all. But this was Fandom.... and Fandom had a way of changing people. And lord knew he had changed a bit since he first arrived on the island almost a year ago... (how the hell did THAT happen?). And so, there he was, in the nicest suit he had, trying not to look as out of his element as he still felt as he stared at the stack of paper slips for a moment.

It was mostly curiosity that brought Goose to check out the party and he had no idea about …really any of this.

Still he didn’t think it would hurt to show up for a bit, he was wearing his typical black cowboy outfit so he was looking a bit out of place here, even though that was really most places for Goose.

Goose didn’t quite understand the concept of the fishbowl or what the prizes would actually entail but that didn’t stop him putting his name on a slip of paper and putting it in the bowl.

In the recent weeks, a visit to this particular shop had been rapidly moving up Ignis' to-do list, so the fact that it managed to potentially co-incide with a party was like killing two birds with on stone.

And what, truly, could possibly be more sexy than that kind of efficiency?

He'd considered inviting Shane along to accompany him, but, considering how he'd bluescreened at just the mention of leather pants, he decided it would probably be best to give the poor man a break.

The leather pants were, however, absolutely making an appearance, because how could they not? His name was slipped into the fishbowl and then it was a matter of procuring himself a drink before really getting involved.

Will had... a lot of Feelings about going to a party in a sex shop just before Valentine's Day when he'd broken up with his fiancee only a few months ago, but he had said he'd think about stopping by, so, here he was.

In a nice (plaid) suit and everything, if moving a little stiffly and still kind of visibly banged up.

As for that draw... well, far be it for the perpetually financially-struggling William Halstead to turn down the prospect of free anything.

Lucifer had a regular fancy maroon suit, nothing particularly Valentine-y - he'd save that for his partners next week. (It would probably be decidedly more naked.)

But well, party at a sex store. Was there anything better?

Testament to how okay Octavia was doing these days, she had not actually needed to be cajoled into coming to this event.

... Too much, anyway. She was still Octavia. And tonight, she was Octavia in a pair of black leather pants and a nice black sweater. Sleek and simple. (And wearing a butterfly bracelet on one wrist, almost but not quite obscured by her sleeve.)

She scribbled her name - just Octavia, nothing more - on one of the scraps of paper, and dropped it into the fishbowl. Why not?

Shunsui always did hate to miss a party, and that would be especially true of a party such as this, and so of course he (and his sake) were here to make an appearance.

And writing his name in Japanese on the slip of paper sent into the fishbowl, because that was both amusing and he'd be pleasantly surprised if it was pulled and actually read properly.

Kitty had honestly thought she'd feel less awkward than she did. Turned out that whole she was cool being in here during normal business hours, she didn't really want to like, look at stuff with this many people around.

She could stay for a drink and maybe text Clint when she was feeling e TFA awkward though.

Jon was here because Irene was a friend, but he had absolutely no use for any of the prizes, and would not be entering his name.

The whole shop made him...not uncomfortable so much as awkward. Sex was fine, he supposed, and people that liked it should absolutely do so using any of these things they wanted, but Jon himself had no idea how to act around it. Should he pretend the shelves weren't there? Should he treat it like a clothing shop and just glance and ignore things?

He'd be getting a drink and staying up front, probably.

Clint did, in fact, know how to clean up decently, but there was no way he was going near that drawing unless someone else tossed his name in. Monitoring the exits and keeping an eye on the room when the room was filled with adult items was a little daunting, but he was doing his best to pretend to be comfortable.

Gladio was pretty bummed that he'd not only failed to convince Prompto to revive that whole Golden-Glitter Drenched Cupid get-up from that one Valentine's Day party when he was in school here (though he did still have the pictures! If anyone was interested), and that Ignis vetoed the idea entirely when Prompto suggested Gladio took a turn (you know he didn't need any convincing!). But, even with all that, he was always glad to be at a party, even a more unconventional one like this, and, sure, he'd toss his name in the fishbowl, too.

He could use a gift to hand off to Prompto or Ignis, though he might have to keep that boa for himself.

The products in the store weren't really Wanda's game, but the color scheme of a Valentine's party totally was. And, like she had told Annie, she was determined to meet new people both at 3MD and at this very odd party.

She took a cherry crush and was eyeing the jello table warily. She might need a couple more drinks before she took a jello shot that looked like a penis.

The jello shot table for this particular event was one of a dual nature: on the one side, you had all your fluff, all your sweet little romance, all your Rated PG romance. Your <sparkling diamonds and boxes of chocolates, a little vampire's kiss done up as full pouting lips. Even adorable little Valentine's snow globes! The Drunken Cherriesdrunken cherries were not strictly a jello shot, but Summer figured they complimented the Heart-Shaped Cherry ones, with the potential for a someone, at least, getting to show off what they could do with all those cherry stems.

And when you got to the Sweet Heart shots and started to notice that not all of the completely moddable little phrases she'd written on them were just cute and innocent in their flirtiness, that might be a good time to move over to the other side of the table, which was far more explicit in its intentions. Featuring some classic naughtily named cocktails in their jello form, from your Buttery Nipples to your Sex on the Beach, your Naughty Girl Scout and your classic Porn Star, all brought to life with a variety of intriguing and suggestive shapes, a different kind of lips, and a few loving embraces.

The feature, though, on that side was absolutely the Peni-Colada shot syringes.

Like. How could she not?

"Thank you all so much for coming! It's time to announce our lucky winners," Irene called out, beaming out at her guests and slipping a hand into the fish bowl. "The winner of our first prize, the Enigma, is Amaya Blackstone. Our second prize, the anal training kit, goes to Will Halstead! And finally, that gorgeous feather boa will be going home with Octavia. Congratulations to all our winners! Please see me to collect your prize."
