Prom 2023, Community Center, Friday Evening

This year's prom had an elegant black and white theme, and the Community Center was decked out with tasteful decorations that had all been covered in black and silver glitter. It was still fancy by at least some measures!

The food and punch were untainted (and unglittered) for the moment, and the dance floor was open for a fabulous time!

"Tahani," he said, also now looking very seriously at her, "how could something as delicious and amazing as a jellybean ever be bad for you?"

"Well, it doesn't have very many vitamins, does it?" Tahani replied.

"Are you sure?" asked Graham. "Last I checked, they were pretty loaded with Vitamin D, for deliciousness. And Vitamin F! For fun!"

"That cannot possibly be right," Tahani said, frowning lightly.

"Maybe a little Vitamin A?" Graham offered, leaning in a little with not quite a nudge, but he was almost there, lifting his eyebrows in an attempt to be extra convincing. "For Awesome?"

"Mmmmmmmm," Graham hummed thoughtfully, squiniting his eyes at Tahani skeptically, but he was grinning as he did it. "Pretty sure you mean Vitamin Y for Yes!"

Everyone knew Vitamin Y!

"Maybe one," Tahani said, "since you're trying so hard. Don't tell Gwyneth."

"My lips," Graham assured her, after taking a moment to beam in victory, "are sealed!"

It definitely helped that he didn't even know Gwyneth, even if she did look remarkably like his future daughter that he didn't even know about yet, anyway.

He then very proudly and very ceremoniously plucked out a green jellybean that he felt was a good match for Tahani's dress, placed it formally on his palm, and then offered it out to her with a nice, proper, courtly sort of bow.

"Your jellybean," he declared, "my lady."

"'Tis but my greatest honor!" Graham assured her, sweeping up from his bow with a grin. "To bestow upon the fairest maidens in the land the particular joy that is the most clandestine of jellybeans! May all your secrets be so delightful and delicious."
