Prom 2023, Community Center, Friday Evening

This year's prom had an elegant black and white theme, and the Community Center was decked out with tasteful decorations that had all been covered in black and silver glitter. It was still fancy by at least some measures!

The food and punch were untainted (and unglittered) for the moment, and the dance floor was open for a fabulous time!

It was definitely allowed; in fact, Summer may have shifted to lean into Stark's hand a little as she grinned faintly, tilting her head in an expression of feigned surprise and innocence, although she doubted she'd be able to successfully pull off that second one at all tonight. Nor would she be trying to!

"No punch or anything like that first?"

Stark smiled at her and very gently increased the pressure from his hand. "We could get punch first if you like," Stark said. "Are you thirsty?"

That was asked innocently.

"Or we could dance first and then have a drink?" It might be spiked by then!

Summer had to bite her lip against an answer that would have pretty much just have been Always. But at least that less than innocent response to that allegedly innocent question made it pretty easy to decide on an answer.

"Punch can wait; we should definitely be dancing right nnow."

"Good. I've been waiting to dance with you," Stark told her, grinning. "Since last week."

Or maybe since the last time they'd danced together. Definitely since he'd seen her in her dress earlier tonight.

"This sounds like it ought to be a good song?" That was conveniently just started and would lend itself to more contact than he'd had so far this evening.

If she was honest (and she would be, blatantly so, later, when they got to it), there was something else Summer had been waiting for, that all this blatant production had been building up to, but, for now, she had promised dancing, and now that they'd reached the dance floor, all there was to do in that moment was listen a little to pick up the mood of the song, and turn to Stark to get it to it.
