Prom 2023, Community Center, Friday Evening

This year's prom had an elegant black and white theme, and the Community Center was decked out with tasteful decorations that had all been covered in black and silver glitter. It was still fancy by at least some measures!

The food and punch were untainted (and unglittered) for the moment, and the dance floor was open for a fabulous time!

"No," Gladio snorted faintly, "though that was an option. I'm not a bad waltzer, you know. But I figured this was going to be a bit less court dances and more..."

He waved a vague hand in the air at the music.

"So we did the Cupid Shuffle and the Boot Scootin' Boogie."

"I...have never heard of either of them." And he was very carefully trying not to just know what they were, because he suspected he didn't want to.

And then he knew anyway. "Oh, good lord." He made a face.

Gladio's brow furrowed a little with confusion about the apparent revelation that had just hit Jon, before he offered, with both uncertainty and amusement, "I could teach you...if you wanted."

He sort of figured he knew what the answer was going to be there.

"Er...no. No, thank you. I am...ha. Mercifully uncoordinated," Jon answered. "Though I...I'm curious to know if your students enjoyed it."

Jon? Uncoordinated? Yeah, Gladio wasn't even going to question that one at all.

"They didn't complain, at least," he offered.

They didn't really say much of anything, really.

"How's your class been going this semester?"

Jon grimaced. "On good days, I think I don't put them to sleep."

On the upside, he was making sure they got enough sleep. They could probably use that, right>?
