Caritas- NYE party!

It was New Year's Eve, and Caritas was decked out for the holidays. The bar itself was decorated with silver fringe, there were gold, black and white balloons arranged in corners (so anyone trying to hide either couldn't, or they could really hide), silver and gold garland hung from the ceiling, and Tino had even dressed up. Meaning he was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt that looked like a tuxedo. It was the thought that counted.

The zombie band was playing the hits, the bass player dressed in a dashing red velvet jacket for some reason, and Kitty had had fun with the specials for the night.

Kitty stared at Tino when she saw that last one added. "There's a USB-powered menorah because fire and drunk people is a bad combination and you decided to do this?"

Anyway. There was also a very easily accessible fire extinguisher on top of the bar if needed. Don't let it be needed.

"Happy new year!" Don exclaimed in return. He almost made a New Yorker joke about 'here's looking forward to less structural damage,' but Kitty was a Westchesterite. She might not understand. "Do you have any exciting plans for the coming one?"

"Get through it, basically. Not have to redo anything to the bar." TINO. "My standards are so, so low. You?"

True, he hadn't considered how often that mansion blew up.

"I'm hoping to get my license to practice in Maryland soon," Don said. "Teaching is interesting and all but I miss surgery, y'know?" No, Don, most people did not know what it was like to miss performing surgery.

"Oh, yes," Don assured her. "Where else would I get to see Thor turned into a goat?" Because Don had totally seen that.

"Steve has photos," Don told her cheerfully. "Including photos of him with Tony as a cat, and they're both wearing Christmas sweaters. He just asks for a donation to a veterans' charity in exchange."

Steve, a little bit evil? No, never.

Thor, grumbling about Don being a traitor? Yes, definitely.
