Caritas- NYE party!

It was New Year's Eve, and Caritas was decked out for the holidays. The bar itself was decorated with silver fringe, there were gold, black and white balloons arranged in corners (so anyone trying to hide either couldn't, or they could really hide), silver and gold garland hung from the ceiling, and Tino had even dressed up. Meaning he was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt that looked like a tuxedo. It was the thought that counted.

The zombie band was playing the hits, the bass player dressed in a dashing red velvet jacket for some reason, and Kitty had had fun with the specials for the night.

Kitty stared at Tino when she saw that last one added. "There's a USB-powered menorah because fire and drunk people is a bad combination and you decided to do this?"

Anyway. There was also a very easily accessible fire extinguisher on top of the bar if needed. Don't let it be needed.

It was fine. She really didn't expect him to. But it was always good to see he, you know, existed and stuff.

"Hey, Jon," Summer said, smiling back much, much easier and brighter. "Happy New Year! Any big plans going into the next one?"

"Er...well...no, not really. I'm teaching again." He was dreading what the moose had gotten him into, but he was teaching! "And, um. I wonder if you have any."

"Not at the moment," Summer admitted with a small shrug. "I don't want to bog myself down with, like, the restriction of expectations and box myself into the more of possible mediocrity, you know? But I am teaching multiverse shit again and that's usually fun,so I'm looking forward to that, I guess! What are you going to teach?"

She paused, considering how these things went for Jon usually.

"What do you hope to teach, I mean?" she amended.

"Heh." Jon's smile turned rueful. "Well, I'm hoping to do something helpful. But the moose hates my handwriting, so I suppose we'll...well, we'll see. I may try to take your class," he said. "It's...I appreciate the experience."
