Caritas- NYE party!
It was New Year's Eve, and Caritas was decked out for the holidays. The bar itself was decorated with silver fringe, there were gold, black and white balloons arranged in corners (so anyone trying to hide either couldn't, or they could really hide), silver and gold garland hung from the ceiling, and Tino had even dressed up. Meaning he was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt that looked like a tuxedo. It was the thought that counted.
The zombie band was playing the hits, the bass player dressed in a dashing red velvet jacket for some reason, and Kitty had had fun with the specials for the night.
SPECIALS
Dumpster Fire
Yule Mule
Baltimore Egg Nog
Whiskey Shamash
25th Hour
Fergeue Fruerzangble FuerahsksdahdsadhasjdhWTF Flaming Sugarloaf Wine Thing
Kitty stared at Tino when she saw that last one added. "There's a USB-powered menorah because fire and drunk people is a bad combination and you decided to do this?"
Anyway. There was also a very easily accessible fire extinguisher on top of the bar if needed. Don't let it be needed.

Re: Arrive and Mingle
He ate Summer's creations on a regular basis and before he'd come here it wasn't like he'd been served high quality meals.
"And...it is. Yes. I'm lucky to have that. And I think you are, too."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
It made her feel less wary about taking heavy advantage of the faucet booze, anyway.
She smiled and raised her cup to him. "Damn right. Excellent energy to go into a new year with, I think."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"I haven't known anyone to be ill from the food from the sky. Or the things in the pipes. The clinic would probably be much busier...I'm glad it's not."
He grinned back at the raised glass. "I hope so. It's a good feeling, at least. Feeling lucky."
One he still wasn't familiar with.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"You would know," she mused. "That works for me. Not sure my friend Ryan would be that convinced, but he's not here, and I am."
She laughed. "Weird feeling though, am I right?" Like the kind of feeling she was never entirely sure would last.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"Ryan is someone from home? From... Haven Springs? And it is weird. I'm still not used to it. I'm not sure I want to get used to it. It's good realizing how lucky I am."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
She would maintain forever that her 'Colorado himbo with a heart of gold' description was entirely accurate even if she had conceded to leaving it out of his dating app profile.
"Yeah, I know. Like... you don't ever want to take that for granted, right?"
Re: Arrive and Mingle
He glanced Summer's way, smiling softly. "It's easy enough to remember I'm lucky, at least."
Re: Arrive and Mingle
"I can remind you in the most obnoxious way possible if you ever think you're in danger of forgetting," she offered.
Mostly teasing.
Re: Arrive and Mingle
Stark just had to ask.

"But I'm usually good at remembering important things like that, even if she were. But if she were she wouldn't be her."
