Caritas- NYE party!

It was New Year's Eve, and Caritas was decked out for the holidays. The bar itself was decorated with silver fringe, there were gold, black and white balloons arranged in corners (so anyone trying to hide either couldn't, or they could really hide), silver and gold garland hung from the ceiling, and Tino had even dressed up. Meaning he was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt that looked like a tuxedo. It was the thought that counted.

The zombie band was playing the hits, the bass player dressed in a dashing red velvet jacket for some reason, and Kitty had had fun with the specials for the night.

SPECIALS
Dumpster Fire
Yule Mule
Baltimore Egg Nog
Whiskey Shamash
25th Hour
Fergeue Fruerzangble FuerahsksdahdsadhasjdhWTF Flaming Sugarloaf Wine Thing

Kitty stared at Tino when she saw that last one added. "There's a USB-powered menorah because fire and drunk people is a bad combination and you decided to do this?"

Anyway. There was also a very easily accessible fire extinguisher on top of the bar if needed. Don't let it be needed.

After Jon had one (or a few) too many eggnogs, he was feeling gloomy about missing Eliot and Margo, so he got up and did "Fairytale of New York" on his own. If nobody jumped in for the duet, he'd do the whole damn thing.

With the new lyrics, though. He might be a fear monster, but he wasn't a heathen.

Steph would totally jump in, if for no other reason than to make sure he used the new lyrics. (Look, could you blame her for worrying about it, at least at first?) She wasn't a great singer, but what she lacked in technique she made up for in sheer gusto, because come on, it was the Pogues.

That was totally fair! And it wasn't as though either MacGowan or MacColl was an opera singer; gusto over technique was the way to go. Jon grinned as he sang, glad of the company.

Steph definitely couldn't sing and drum at the same time, so the zombie drummer didn't have to concede the kit to her for this number, but that wasn't going to stop her from air drumming like an absolute maniac the whole time.

Jon wasn't quite sure what to make of that enthusiasm, so he'd just enjoy it. From greater than arms' length away, just in case.
