Caritas- NYE party!

It was New Year's Eve, and Caritas was decked out for the holidays. The bar itself was decorated with silver fringe, there were gold, black and white balloons arranged in corners (so anyone trying to hide either couldn't, or they could really hide), silver and gold garland hung from the ceiling, and Tino had even dressed up. Meaning he was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt that looked like a tuxedo. It was the thought that counted.

The zombie band was playing the hits, the bass player dressed in a dashing red velvet jacket for some reason, and Kitty had had fun with the specials for the night.

Kitty stared at Tino when she saw that last one added. "There's a USB-powered menorah because fire and drunk people is a bad combination and you decided to do this?"

Anyway. There was also a very easily accessible fire extinguisher on top of the bar if needed. Don't let it be needed.

Which wasn't exactly out of the realm of possibility, with these two.

Vi mouthed the numbers along with Steph, though she definitely was not focused on the crowd.

Steph wouldn't rule it out at all, which was exactly why she chose not to give Vi shit about it (as much as they both enjoyed that) in favor of doing the countdown.

Of course, she didn't even bother with yelling "Happy New Year" along with everyone else; she just reached up to slide her hand into Vi's hair and pull her down for that kiss immediately.

Vi didn't need any encouragement whatsoever to return the kiss with great enthusiasm, pulling Steph in tight against her.

Steph grinned fiercely into the kiss, wrapping both arms around Vi's neck in the sudden storm of glitter. "Happy new year, babe."

"Happy new year," Vi repeated back to her, heedless of the glitter. "No one else I'd rather be kissing."

"No one else I'd rather start the year with," Steph replied with one more kiss for good measure, just in case there were any lingering doubts that she was Vi's girl. "Speaking of which -- I believe we have a date to go home approximately right now, don't we?"

"Pretty sure we do," Vi agreed, bending down to pick Steph up and toss her over her shoulder, because why not go all out on dispelling those doubts for everyone involved?

Oh, like Steph was going to object.

She whooped as she found herself draped over Vi's shoulder and carried off, grinning like she knew people wished they were her right now.

"Oh, baby. That's starting the year off in style."

Vi beamed at her, shifting her grip until she was sure she wasn't going to overbalance or drop Steph on the way home. "Only the best for you, babe."
