Caritas, Wednesday Evening

Jarod whistled as he opened the bar, to the point where the zombies were elbowing each other in a knowing fashion and Tino kept hoping for some good gossip, which he wouldn't get. When it was quiet, Jarod once again worked on his laptop, closing it when he sensed anyone coming close enough to read the screen.

A sign was posted on the door:

WELCOME TO FANDOM, NEW STUDENTS AND TEACHERS!

"So, this Superman is more like... an ally to Earth?"

"Absolutely." Clark said. "He's, well, he's kind of a er, super hero." He sounded embarresed to say it.

Rose's eyes lit-up. "But that's brilliant! We don't have superheroes where I'm from, could use him a time or two fending off some invasions."

Clark looked slightly chagrined. "Well he has stopped at least one on my world."

"Block-wise that's rather good on him. Wouldn't want any Earth to be invaded." Rose said, smiling.

"Most of the problems he's had to deal with were normal things, stopping robberies, saving people from accidents, that sort of thing. Contrary to what the comics would have you believe, the big things don't happen every month it seems."

"Yeah, that's true, normally it's the domestic stuff that has law enforcement agencies busy." Rose realized how that sounded and added. "So they say."

~~this conversation's almost a week old now:P~~

"I worked closely with the reporter who managed to cover most of his exploits." Clark said. "Got me quite a few details, even though I never actually met him myself. She told me that he'd said, one of his favorite things he'd ever done, was get a cat out of a tree."

"That's so... cute!" Rose gushed. "I like cats, although not enough to keep pets."

ooc: did clark already about his duck?

"I have a duck." Clark said. "Although, he's less a pet, and more like a tenant."

"A duck." Rose repeated, "That's... a valid lifestyle choice, I suppose."

"It wasn't something I planned on," Clark said. "He gets, confused sometimes, and at the beginning of the summer, he seemed to get it into his head that he was a kamikazi pilot and tried to dive bomb me."

"I would love to meet this Kamikaze, dive bombing Duck then." Rose said, grinning. "Not every day I could say that."

"These days he's much calmer, just don't let him get too much sugar or caffeine."

"Right, no sugar or caffeine then, wouldn't want him dive bombing anyone."

"After halloween I think he thought he was a superhero. He got into the halloween candy."

Rose chuckled. "Oh, that's something to see! I'm almost sorry I didn't see it!"

"Well I still have the cape."

"Oh, that's so cute!" Rose was all out laughing now. "Small cape for the super duck!"

Clark was laughing softly along with her.

"I'm glad I met you, Clark Kent." Rose said, trying to stand-up, albeit a bit wobbly.

Clark rose quickly to aid her. "Oh my," he said. "Do you need help getting back?" There were "cabs" of a sort for that purpose.

Rose smiled at him. "Nah, it's okay. Think a little walk would do me good," She patted him again, "You're sweet."
