Town Hall, Tuesday, November 13, Morning/Afternoon

Christian came in early to the clinic and found his patients had doubled overnight and were starting to be stacked up like cordwood in the exam rooms. He definitely was going to have to make use of town hall. After a few handwavey phone calls to get things officially set up, he and the nurses transfered the patients over to the makeshift hospital. Fortunately, town hall was almost directly behind the clinic, so it was a short trip. Cots were obtained and set up around the large room in anticipation of more patients.

The mayor didn't seem to be around, but Christian left handwavey messages for Principle Washburn and Sheriff Mustang about the situation. They were definitely going to have to establish a quarantine. This was spreading like wildfire. He would insist that anyone tending to the patients was going to have to wear masks and gloves.


[ooc: Patients modded without permission, because they are in no condition to resist, muhahaha. Volunteers, feel free to tend to patients as they ping in. OCD coming has arrived!

Johnny barely made it in before falling to his knees, hitting the floor hard. He was coughing, shivering, and though it wasn't noticable with his clothes on, a rash had formed along his arms and chest, spreading down along his body.

Shouldering a good deal of his weight, Annette managed to get Dick to the Town Hall, where she had found out the sick people were being taken. He was so very sick (http://surferboy-09er.livejournal.com/19882.html?view=277674#t277674) and seemed to be getting worse.

Anders was half-blind from the headache that had hit him half a block from town hall -- and hadn't that been fun, getting to the clinic only to find out he had to stumble over here instead -- and there was an angry red rash creeping past his sleeves and up the backs of his hands when he arrived, shading his eyes from the light.

Every now and then the rash seemed to fade just a bit, then come back.

"Oh," he said, looking at Dr. Troy in a brief moment of feeling better. "Figures it'd be --"

Perhaps luckily, a brief but spectacular bout of coughing cut off the rest of that bit of snark.

Eve managed to make it through her classes before deciding that heading into town hall was in her best interests.

Which was a good thing, as she collapsed as soon as she got in the door. "Oww. Help?"

Shawn had heard the radio broadcast last night. People getting sick all over the place. It really wasn't sounding good, so he headed down to the town hall, ready to lend a healing hand if it was wanted. He had a feeling it would be.

One wasn't as quiet as Adah without the uncanny ability to hear about things not even spoken to you. If anything, she'd call it an intuition if she wasn't such a believer in the fact that it didn't exists. She'd limped to the clinic, and, once things had handwavily been established that, no, she wasn't there for the limp, she was there to find out what was going on, she was redirected here.

Yup. Definitely something going on. Eyes a bit wide, she accessed the situation as best she could before awaiting order on how to help while simultaniously building up an arguement to prove that she could.

After stopping in at Anakin's office, Jaina headed down to see if there was anything she could do at town hall. In truth, she might have been feeling a little bit guilty about not doing anything yesterday while people were getting sick, which was why she thought skipping class was justifiable.

Andrew had totally spent the night sleeping next to Bart in a sleeping bag, which is why he was standing there now, hair more mussed up than usual, in pajamas and tennis shoes.

Karal hadn't listened to the radio, but once he'd returned to the dorms from the church, he'd heard the news and immediately headed down to the clinic to offer any help he could.

Altra had come with him, and was prowling around, looking as worried as a 'cat could.

After hearing the previous night's broadcast, which had added to his concerns, Cable made his way down to the Town Hall -- mostly to find some answers, although he was likely to end up doing what he could.

He may have been flitting around a little, hard to pin down, but pretty much present.

Aravis had heard what had happened, and while she was not a doctor or surgeon or healer in her own right, she'd spent enough time with the Hermit that she knew that an extra set of hands would almost certainly be welcome.

So she was there, quiet and small and worried.

Cassandra had been staying over at the clinic overnight. She had been worried, and when the patients got moved over to town hall she had come with them. She had no idea what she could do to help, but she was willing to try.

Interesting thing about The Force. It allowed you to feel things like massive gatherings of sick people. And that, despite the fact that he was retired, dammit, meant that Jolee had to go and try to help out. Here a week and already forced into service with helping people. He would say that the Force had a funny sense of humor, but there wasn't much funny about this.

Sometime after meeting with Principal Washburn, Vice Principal Hades, Dean Jones and Sheriff Mustang, Fraser made his way down to the makeshift clinic in the town hall with the intent of checking in on the students and talking to those who felt up.

For those playing the home game, we already have one spot crossed off on our holiday bingo card -- airport disaster! A jet skidded off the runway in Quito, Ecaudor. No one was seriously hurt, but the plane was trashed and the airport is currently closed to cargo planes because the plane is still half on the runway. More than you needed to know about the floral industry!
