Jaye was actually at work, and there early for once, which shocked the hell out of Tino. But see, she got to host tonight, and she was actually excited for it. She'd even brought popcorn to watch. Maybe someone could get slapped in three minutes and the slapper would end up in the pond. When people arrived, there was even a sign on the door.

When everyone had gotten there, Jaye took the stage, mic in hand. "Hey there, so you should all know how this goes by now, as we've had way too many for you to be clueless. Unless you're new. In which case, ha ha, suckers. So, dating sucks, so we get you through the process really really quickly. Now you can find out within three minutes that the person you're talking to is not the one you want to spend even four minutes more with.

"Here's how it goes: I call your name, and someone else's. You get together. You talk for three minutes, get to know each other, and then you'll hear this," she said, pulling an airhorn from behind her back to sound it. "Then I'll call your name with someone else's and you switch. You'll hear this sound," she said, blowing the horn again just because she could, "five times total. Any ques- good. Enjoy!"

[Three minutes = ten comments, which means each person gets five comments in a thread. You don't have to do these chronologically, but try not to Joss yourself. Slowplay is totally fine omg.

Alice wasn't entirely sure what three-minute dates were, and had never been on a date in her life. But it seemed intriguing, nonetheless. She sipped a glass of water and wondered if one could sign up if one wasn't sure that one was skilled enough to date in just three minutes.

Jack had let the island get to him, so he was going to get back at the islabd by getting drunk. So there!

Dick was unaware of anything going on tonight when he walked into the bar. He figured things out pretty quickly, though, and ordered a drink. He figured that he'd sit back and enjoy the show and see if there were any trainwrecks.

Tino thought Dick could do with a show of hubris and put his name down on the list. Sneaky Tino.

Romeo's girlfriend had been a bunny for over a week, and he was at Caritas with the intent of some sorrow-drowning.

Tino decided he looked sad and added his name to the list to cheer him up, ignoring wee rabbit glares.

Tyler was less than a week from being completely, 100 percent free of Marla Singer. Or so he kept telling himself.

He scrawled his name on the list almost angrily.

"Tyler." And look at that, he remembered his name after a night on the town and everything.

"Tony," Tyler returned. "Here to try your luck?"

[OOC: Fair warning, I will vanish or go mega-slow when my daughter wakes up.]

"It seemed like a fun enough idea," Tony replied. "You?"

[[No worries! I flee later in the evening and SP is love. Wee ones come fiiiirst.]]

"I got a letter this week informing me my divorce will be finalized on Thursday," Tyler explained. "Seemed like a good preemptive strike to officially get back out there."

Tony lifted a glass to toast. "I can drink to that."

"Amen," Tyler agreed, raising his glass in a toast. "To freedom."

[OOC: Fleeing!]

"Does this mean I need to find a glittery strip club in Jamaica?" Tony asked after downing his drink in one fluid movement.

Tyler gave that more consideration than it perhaps deserved. "Find one without the glitter and I'm there," he decided.

Tony lifted his glass again. "You're on."

"Perfect," Tyler told him.

Hannibal leaned against the bar, looking around and wondering who he might be dating tonight.

Ichigo hadn't even meant to end up at Caritas. It was the island that just jumped him there when he went to get a bag of chips from the cabin living room. He should have known giving the guy behind the bar his name was a bad decision, but it was too late by the time he noticed the Three Minute Dates sign.

Ronon surveyed the activity at the bar, unsure what he'd just walked into. People from Earth were so weird.
