Jaye was actually at work, and there early for once, which shocked the hell out of Tino. But see, she got to host tonight, and she was actually excited for it. She'd even brought popcorn to watch. Maybe someone could get slapped in three minutes and the slapper would end up in the pond. When people arrived, there was even a sign on the door.

When everyone had gotten there, Jaye took the stage, mic in hand. "Hey there, so you should all know how this goes by now, as we've had way too many for you to be clueless. Unless you're new. In which case, ha ha, suckers. So, dating sucks, so we get you through the process really really quickly. Now you can find out within three minutes that the person you're talking to is not the one you want to spend even four minutes more with.

"Here's how it goes: I call your name, and someone else's. You get together. You talk for three minutes, get to know each other, and then you'll hear this," she said, pulling an airhorn from behind her back to sound it. "Then I'll call your name with someone else's and you switch. You'll hear this sound," she said, blowing the horn again just because she could, "five times total. Any ques- good. Enjoy!"

[Three minutes = ten comments, which means each person gets five comments in a thread. You don't have to do these chronologically, but try not to Joss yourself. Slowplay is totally fine omg.

Ichigo nodded and automatically straightened in his seat because it was only good manners. "Yeah, I'm Ichigo Kurosaki," he said, quickly smiling back. "Some guy at the bar roped me into this. I think it was a conspiracy."

"I think a friend might have signed me up for it," Lana admitted. "Still, it's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too," he replied. "So um... Introduction stuff? I'm not an alien or a witch. I live in Karakura Town in Japan. I have two younger sisters and I only got here in July so I'm still new to the island."

"I'm an ordinary human being - no special abilities or anything. I'me froma small town in Kansas in the United States and I've been here almost three years. I head to college in a couple of weeks.:

"Cool," he said, leaning forward a little. "What are you going to study?"

"Forensic Science," she said with a smile. "I'm really looking forward to it, even though I hate to leave Fandom."

Ichigo tilted his head. "Isn't that like working with murder scenes and stuff?" Especially stuff.

"It is," Lana said. "And with the evidence collected from them."

He might have found it weirder if he wasn't able to see spirits. "From where the interest?"

She shrugged. "I took a couple of classes here and it just really snagged me. I enjoyed it and I was really good at it and I knew it would be a good way to help people."

Ichigo nodded. "I was just wondering, it's not a really usual interest." He paused as he glanced at the radio. "I think our time is up."

"It is," Lana agreed, "But it was nice meeting you. Good luck!"

"You too. I think I might need it," he said with a grin as he started to get up.
